New Mods

You don't have to pick just one, just be honest and don't choose yourself.

how bout you, pizza? bring some of that italian gusto to the site, lol. seriously though, i do think that iconoclast would be a good graphics mod after seeing some of his stuff. he is also on frequently.

Well, this was mine, as in pizzaman's as well, suggestion. I leave it up to the mods, the admin, whoever does this stuff. I personally think having inactive mods...just isn't right. If anyone here at CoolROM who can do anything about sees otherwise...let it be their loss of improvement on this site.

I do accept! But which forum do you think I should moderate? I really would like the graphics forum, but I think Iconoclast does too, so I guess you should choose admin.

Oh, my harshness cured. This may seem irrelevant...yet, technically, it may not. But whenever I'm really mad at someone, usually a teacher or something, and I hear the word 'sorry' from them, no matter why they say it, I start to feel like I'm sorry.

Well, yes, I am interested. I will consider which forum I would like to be a moderator of. I think me, CM, pizzaman, kameo, and perhaps jambog would be good additions, 'substitutes', or whatever happens. I have time, so yes, I accept this position.

I may have achieved much in the Graphics department and am a good worker with image editing and optimization, but I can't generate images like pizzaman can. For example, I have no idea how he made that avatar. I still use Jasc Paint Shop Pro, which I suggest over Photoshop for editing. Maybe we both would be good moderators there. But it would be selfish of me to ask to be a moderator of more than one forum, marking suggesting everyone else with one. Then again, look what happened to K00. I have done some serious N64 emulation research, however.

Remorse has posted a sticky about something not quite stickyish. But she has certainly been to CoolROM everyone once in a while. There could be an improvement.

Do you think moderators should be allowed to delete posts? These forums have been sloppy with new threads clouding up space. Although, it is not needed when threads can be closed, and it would be too sudden for whoever started the threads. But, for example, in the ROM Requests forum, some newbies haven't been learining in the past from other closed threads, and you may as well be able to delete them. If a ROM Request forum breaks a rule but has something in it worth keeping in the forum, then just closing it would be best.

Don't want to interfere here but I think it's rather _more_ important to assign moderators to forums with _no_ active moderator than kicking some guys out and assigning new ones ...

How come he left, and why was he last active today if he left?

I haven't seen ridley post in like, what, a month or two? Already have we lost two loyal members, ridley and savking. I have no idea what happened to ridley. If CM ever gets lost, I'll bet it's because one day, he's going to be too damn busy with these matters that keep dragging him away from this site every now and then. Kameo will probably never resign from this website for some time, but may lose post frequency. If I ever leave these forums, it'll probably be because of this imprisoned-for-all-of-eternitied (damned) homework and, in the future, some local business may drive me away. If pizzaman ever gets into another world, such as basketball or something, it may drive him away from this site. I have no prediction as to what may happen to jambog if anything. Admin's always doing something else; I can't even try to predict that far into the future. When all of us are gone, let us hope the new users on this site will substitute us well.

Anyway, I've changed my mind. I think both me and pizzaman should be moderators of the graphics forum. It does seem to be like focusing on the strength of a single forum too much, as me and pizzaman are very frequently on CoolROM.com. But we both have the halves of good imaging. I have the image editing skills, and he can produce more images than even I can. I just think we should both be moderators of the graphics forum. After all, you did, admin, say it entirely depends on our desire. Just because I'm an expert at PC Gaming/Emulation doesn't mean I will enjoy being a moderator for it.

He posted 5 days ago on May 2. His was last logged in today. Until he posts a good bye thread or Admin informs us that he PM'd him and said he was no longer going log in and to give his mod privileges to someone else, i won't believe he's gone. Even if he isn't posting as much as he used to, maybe he is still logging in to mod.

OK. Admin, I don't understand about moving, merging, approving, and unapproving. I could use a PM of things to keep in mind as a moderator (ex. rules, thread manipulations, even suggestions).

Yes, it does seem better this way. Pizzaman can create some static images I'll never know the secret of, and both of us as moderators of the graphics forum is a little overfocusing. I am good at PC Gaming/Emulation common sense, (I use the help menu, and I know how to find out things by myself.) so I could be right this way. Especially with Nintendo 64 emulation, of course. Remorse knows the other half.

He did say you can be one only if you want. Although, I don't mean to bring you down, but save some of the moderator vacancies for other users who are good with them. I chose PC Gaming/Emulation, for example. Keep an eye on all of those posts.:skep:

Lol, you shouldn't ask like that, or he will think you are desperate. I never asked to be mod, even though I wanted to be one, and I became one because of my posts, detication, contributaion, ect.
