Robbins & Cotran Pathologic Basis of Disease is set up very well and helped me quite a lot when I was self studying. It also includes that some medications may be the cause of symptoms and what medications or living conditions may result in said pathogens/diseases entering your system.

I also love cook books ^-^

I think that most interesting non-fictional book I've ever read is the Band of Brothers. I can really recommend it for anyone who is even slightly interested in WW2.

"The Blank Slate" by Steven Pinker is a great book about nature vs nurture in human evolutionary phsycology. He's a proffesor at MIT working on developing AI.

"Killing Rage" by Eamon Collins is an inside look at the IRA during thier height in the mid '80's. This guy was responsible for bank robberies, car bombs, and assasinations but all charges were dropped because the cops tortured him. He had a change of heart and left the IRA, then wrote this expose about all the stuff he was charged with because double jeopardy protects him from being charged for these admissions. A really interesting look at why people become terrorists.

"Deep Cover" by Micheal Levine exposes corruption on all levels of the American government's "War on Drugs". He was a deep cover agent for the DEA in the 80's posing as a cocaine distributor in SoCal. He worked his way up the chain to the point he was recieving shipments direct from Bolivia. The books displays how the US government doesnt really want to stop the flow of drugs.
