i have downloaded them all. i have tinkered with them, i have used alchahol, daemon tools, n iso buster. i understand mounting procedures, i have run pc isos off my c:\ before... is there not a saturn emulator with a GUI that "does it all" ? am i missing something ? i got all the files associaed with running it and used them in the interface... why cant i run a game, ... tell me what you run yourslike, mabey i can get it to run. i checked the FAQ, it seemed to skip a step or two, or mabey im not reading it correctly. my only guess is that the saturn is and will always be a neglected system... for purists only. :mad2:

Please don't spam and post the same topic twice. You could pass it off as a glitch in the system where it not for the first one missing a t in emulator.

Can only delete your own posts. Don't know why you can't delete your own threads.

Well first what game?
If it's simply a cue file issue i can make you a cue file.

Yeah i know, but half the saturn games there have incorrect .cue files, since those were hand made.

daemon tools is best actually, and also, don't delete oasis, it seems to be a problem with my cue maker, so i have to make them manually, the dragon force cue is at the bottom of the page in the attachments.
Anyway you can use both, when your ready to work on it, tell me the virtual drive your gonna use.

well it will start up WMP, since it has audio tracks, just close it.

Anyway demount the game, we need it unmounted.

boot up SSF.
Click options when the screen runs

In perepheral:, if you have the bios (not 100% needed) brouse to it, if not move on.
STV bios should be blank.

CD drive(THIS IS VERY IMKPORTANT!) click it and in the drop down window click the last option, it's usually the last one, and will probably be named UDG, but not always.

Cartridge, Give it 4MB of RAM, that's the safest.

Region, i'd highly suggest setting that to japan.

In screen:, i'd suggest clicking auto field skip, enforce aspect ratio(window) and enforce aspect ratio( fullscreen), while leaving the others alone for the time being.

In sound:, only have linear filtering clicked and be sure buffer size (samples) is set to 512, as well as having buffering set to normal.

Controller: don't know if you need this.

In the next ones, just click program 3 and be sure CD access LED and No BIOS is clicked.

After that in EZ setting, you should click what you think it can run at.

After that close SSF, place the iso in daemon and run SSF again, it should start after a few moments.

Well the first thing is to open the cue file that comes with the game with notepad,, dragon force for example from before i fixed it and after:

Before fixed:

FILE "DRAGON_FORCE.BIN" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 AUDIO
PREGAP 00:02:00
INDEX 01 62:33:42

After fixed:

FILE "DRAGON FORCE.BIN" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 AUDIO
PREGAP 00:02:00
INDEX 01 62:33:42

You'll notice the title is different, the before one has the _ separating the words, while the fixed one has the exact same title as the iso, so basically changing the name is what must be done.

In the case of legend of oasis for example, the before word is OASIS,BIN, when it should be LEGEND OF OASIS.BIN, at least as far as i can tell, you might want to check it first to be sure ir doesn't work before you alter it, since though rare, sometimes they are named differently than the iso.

Oh yeah, version 0.10 runs the games much better, so if your using another version of ssf, you might want to upgrade.

Couldn't you just click the text of the iso name and then click it again (not a double click) and change the name that way without having to use notepad?

It's inside the cue file, it doesn't matter if you change the outer name the name inside the cue file remains the same.

For instance, i could call the dragon force.cue tatsuya's.cue and inside the cue file it would still say DRAGON_FORCE.BIN

Ah, I figured the cue would just be random garbage.

Ah, I figured the cue would just be random garbage.

it''s ironic really tbh, since no saturn emulator and some psx emulators won't run without these small bytes of data.

Yeah, just like you can completly disable your monitor by going into a specific file and changing a 1 to a 0.
