I'm sry if this seems out of place, but in my mind could not fit inot any other subject and be honored.

Did anyone else see this yet?

If so, what are your opinions....

I saw it reported on the news, I thought it was a little weird. I mean that car had no capabilities of really killing anyone in the bus even if it impacted, it'd have had to have been VERY lucky.

If the security there was so terrible as to allow a large vehicule to plow into the parade and the terrorist was willing to sacrifice his life and/or freedom to take/attempt to take the lives of the Dutch Royal family.

Surely a smarter tactical approach would be to use firearms if his real intentions were to assasinate any of them.

Seems weird, perhaps something concieved to intentionally lower the countries civilian morale (for whatever reason) *shrug*

He could of just been celebrating the 100Anv of the Great War 5 years early?

Joking aside....it did remind me tho, way too much, of that meaningless and non-important assassination starting ww1, wich led to some of the greatest countries duking it out, utlimatly dragging each one into seemingless amounts of debt, literally starting the depression in germany lasting decades whilst u.s.a.'s didn't even last one.

It seems during a global depression, War won't start at the drop of a needle, makes me wonder if the economics were different in 1914, and the depression came sooner than thought, would it have actually happened.

The united Kingdom likes to remind of Germanies advances, and territorial gain. Yet only decades before the U.K. were claiming sovernous states as their own.

Yea, that was in Apeldoorn a few days ago. I think there's now a total of seven deads, driver included. I didn't really bother to watch the news or read newspapers since I'm seeing it everywhere.

What they think has happened, the driver first lost his job, he worked for some security company, the one who did the security at the parade. And he was to lose his housing the day after the parade, something snapped. He never intended to attack the Royal Family, he just wanted to show the security was crap, and it was.

And maybe he didn't like some of his excolleagues very much since he ran them over first.

It's all speculation because, obviously, they can't ask him about his motives anymore. But I've read he told his parents he was going to see them today (Sunday) so I don't think he was planning to do this. All in all, it's just one huge tragedy, for the driver, his family, the victims and their family.

I don't think our Queen and her family got any real enemies, they R quite loved by the people of my country.

I guess it could be pretty scary when you think about it like that, something so small could trigger European war...

Did they get any info on the terrorist by the way? Motive?

Also I really feel this was the securitys fault, I mean there must be countless potential assasination attempts on goverment officials/royality around the world, but security systems prevent these occurances. I've never been to one of these parade events (I live in England so we have Royalty too :p) but one would think the roads would be closed at an appropriate distance that a compact car couldn't get down into the parade.

I guess Royality is less valued than goverment officals though. I mean there job is to be within the public eye essentially so I guess it can't be that hard to take them out.

I am unsure (if this was an attempt) as to why the car wasn't fully loaded with explosives. If I was going to sacrifice my freedom to do that I'd want to die anyway.

I guess he had to plow through the crowd due to road blocks and spectators. He may have injured himself when he hit someone and fell unconscious which is why he failed in striking the bus.

The other thing that it may have been (assuming he was sober and healthy) is that he was driving on a street opposite the one the bus was and turned his head to look at the bus. It is a proven fact that people tend to drive towards what they are looking at.

Sad for the families of all those people who died.

The crowd and road blocks would have reduced his speed to far, he had no means of harming the people within the buss realistically even if he was able to drive into it.

And the latter theory with all due respect is a little farfetched, people only do that to an extent. At most what happens is they realise then sweve randomly which can cause an accident, but it wouldn't cause him to drive from one street to another through a packed croud and keep going like that.

Personally I think it was intentional but have no idea what the motive might have been.

I think what Germany did was considerably different, not to mention the UK relinquished there empire and power at there own will.

If you were to have said the will of the people, that would of scarily come close to marxism.

What one man judges to be considerable, another man might judge to be just tolerable.....and so the plot thickens.

Was this man out to get vengeance on his Co-workers, or was he out to demonstrate the posh lifestyles of his governing rulers will never stand a chance at what oppurtunity meeting preporation can bring.

While the death of a million can be viewed as a statistic, the Death of one loved one can be a tragedy.
