If this is a gaming forum and scientific accuracy or discussion is bad form here...
IF correcting misconceptions about science (Yes, there's a ton of them floating in the world) is called "Preaching" but it's OK to "Preach" how to correctly play the game or make the emulators work and it's OK to "preach" how to set up the computer emulation (can't use Gamecube 'BIOS' etc)...
If silencing and censorship and accusatory attacks await anyone that tries to have a SERIOUS and realistic discussion about science by a Moderator who admittedly stated he has a personal dislike for scientific thought...
Why does this subforum even exist?

I am not silencing you, i'm saying stop pushing it on others, i seriously am starting to think that your trying to cause trouble now.

I am not silencing you, i'm saying stop pushing it on others, i seriously am starting to think that your trying to cause trouble now.
I am trying to defend scientific thought AND myself from your bullying.
It is not creating trouble to speak up for oneself. That accusation best suits when you don't want people to defend themselves.
It is not pushing viewpoints on others, by any means,. to correct something they misunderstood.
For the sixth time- Demonstrate CLEARLY how I have pushed anything on someone that I cannot support with good solid evidence- and I will admit to being wrong and retract my defense.
ETA: If you're going to emotionally attack science, call it blind faith, refuse to support your claims, lock threads when you disagree with scientific principle, accuse and attack someone repeatedly when they support science, logic and critical thinking- that qualifies as bullying.
I have demonstrated that correction is not the same as forcing (The emulator and Gamecube "Bios" example).
I have demonstrated that observational evidence does exist and that it Does support many scientific conclusions.
You have yet to demonstrate that the idea that water is dry is nothing more than an opinion or viewpoint.
You have yet to demonstrate that I forced unsupported claims on anyone. You have yet to support or substantiate ANY accusation you have thrown at me.

I'm not going to lie, some of your posts bother me Arivisian. I generally shy away from the threads you post in. You seem arrogant and you certainly are relentless. Let people post their opinions, yes. I have no problem with that. But don't rape their ears, actually, eyes, because you are so close-minded. Not everyone is going to believe what you have to say. Even if you have 100% proof to back it up. Which you don't. People believe whatever the hell they want to believe. So quit whining and quit pushing your **** on other people.
You are being a drama queen.

Ok, now your throwing attacks, your intentionally trying to flame me, and you are obviously trying to goad me into an attack which i won't give, i told you if you have an issue with me take it up with the admin, DO NOT spam the forums.
Anyway to answer you, i simply point to scientific law, scientific law is flawed in so many ways, as it was made by flawed hands, when you state something as fact, your claiming it is 100% perfection, your claiming scientific law trumps all other opposing laws, when even scientific law says it is not capable of being 100% accurate, either way when you claim others are wrong, then your pushing an opinion.

You are being a drama queen.
It is not arrogance to get tired of Tatsuya's Science hating attacks and thus defend them.
I have not distracted from anyones "Opinions" Quote me and show clearly where I told others they cannot have an opinion about something when there is no supporting evidence.
Close minded behavior is demonstrated by a person that makes a lot of insult and accusation- but will not support the accusation.
Tatsuya's the one who admitted to being VERY close minded about anything scientific.
In a previous post- he claimed harshly that Relativity (E=mc[squared]) is WRONG- and yet he doesn't even UNDERSTAND the theory.
Is arrogance and closed mindedness REALLY the card you wish to play here?
Do you really want to examine arrogant and closed minded behavior?
And I will not put up with someone who has an emotional response to a personal dislike censoring something they refuse to Understand and attacking and accusing and browbeating me over it.
Your post does nothing to support anything- other than demonstrate that you are friends with Tatsuya- Just as GameGeeks did.
It's as if to say: "Reality is irrelevant- his bad behavior is irrelevant- as long as he's in your clique."
I'm not impressed.
Ok, now your throwing attacks, your intentionally trying to flame me, and you are obviously trying to goad me into an attack which i won't give, i told you if you have an issue with me take it up with the admin, DO NOT spam the forums.
You have been flaming me harshly since I first defended scientific principle from your misconceptions.
You are unable to handle correction- you think you're right no matter what and you refuse to support your baseless claims.
It's high time someone confronted you Tatsuya.
I'm sure a lot of people either gave up trying or were too pummeled by your attacks to continue when they confronted you in the past.
Anyway to answer you, i simply point to scientific law, scientific law is flawed in so many ways, as it was made by flawed hands,
Is that your opinion?
Show the flaws.
Outline them.
Do some work and support your claim.
when you state something as fact, your claiming it is 100% perfection,
Who has done this?
have I?
I can quote myself repeatedly where my posts left room for error. Have yours?
Demonstrate with quotes where I state scientific evidnce as 100% proven fact.
You can't
Because not only have I not done so- I have outlined clearly how that is not the way sicence works, anymore than that the ePSXe works with GameCube "BIOS".
your claiming scientific law trumps all other opposing laws, when even scientific law says it is not capable of being 100% accurate, either way when you claim others are wrong, then your pushing an opinion.
Are you trying to say that no one can ever be wrong?
That no one should be corrected?
Then Game Cube "BIOS" should work with PSX, right?
OR am I wrong about that?
You even admitted NOW that science says that science does not go for 100% accuracy! What a glaring contradiction.

Arav if you notice almos everything is labled theory. Theories can be disproven. If they get disproven they could wipe out a large chunk of scientific advancement. Nothing is ever ceartin and thus there's verry few scientific facts.

I have been saying something similar all along.
But what you say is not quite accurate either.
Mainstream Working Theories are very unlikely to up and get "disproven."
The principles that make the science that make your computer operate remain the same.
Separate functions of a theory can be found to be in error and that error corrected by better observation- Improving the theory.
A hypothesis can be disproven.
But a hypothesis and a theory are different things.
By me informing you of this- I am not "pushing a viewpoint" on you anymore than you would be if you told someone they cannot use GameCube "BIOS" on ePSXe.
I am simply informing you as to How It Works.
When I first found this subforum- I thought, "Great!"
I love discussing science.
What I am seeing now, however, is that I'm not allowed to discuss science at all here.
I'm allowed to pander to fantasy here, maybe- nothing more.

What you just said throws out the science is flawed argument you claim to be saying, you say "it might as well be real", water is wet, technically no, by scientific law if you break it down, water is more or less a heavy gas that got condensed by gravity into a liquid, as such it is more a gas.
In the end, i have no hate for science, i just dislike it when you claim science is right when all in all science can never be 100% right, EVER.
Even at that, science is still not really different from a religion, as even the most likely of theories require a little faith in them.

Kind of.
What I am saying is that in science, nothing is ever proven 100%. The reason for this is that you cannot prove a negative- If water is observed as wet and all the evidence strongly supports that it is wet- there is still room to say I am 99.999999% sure water is wet.
But you cannot prove that we have been deceived by invisible elves to believe that water is wet when it is actually dry.
In the end, i have no hate for science, i just dislike it when you claim science is right when all in all science can never be 100% right, EVER.
For the seventh time:
Point out and quote me where I have ever said such a thing?
I think I have been excruciatingly clear. Considering what I have clarified above- AGAIN- how can you claim that I am running around on your forum pushing things as 100% proven fact?
Have I not pointed out science doesn't work that way?
Have I not pointed out that proofs only exist in mathematics?
Can you not see that your accusations against me are inaccurate at best?
What I have done is correct misconceptions about what scientific theory actually states on certain subjects. And what I have put up with is a lot of character assaults and a lot of accusations for doing that.
Yeah, I'll defend myself. Better believe it.
EtA: That said, Tatsuya- If you think I WANT to fight- You are wrong.
I don't.
I don't mind a good debate but I do mind a fight. It's time consuming and unproductive. I shouldn't HAVE to defend myself this much. It's a lot of effort and it's straining on the mind.
I'd much rather get along with you.
Just because I disagree with you at times does not mean I dislike and want to fight you. I don't. I'm not afraid of a fight and I won't shirk from one- But I'd rather not have to. If I DO have to- I will and I will never give up.
Maybe you should ask me more what I mean by things or openly discuss things with me instead of automatically accusing me of "flaming" or "pushing viewpoints"
Maybe if you actually allowed yourself time to hear me out- you might understand my position much better and realize that I am not flaming or pushing viewpoints.

I have no desire to prove elves made water wet, i am simply stating that the way you view it as fact, makes it no more than a dogma, or "blind faith", either way that still does not make it right or give you the right to puch what you view as fact on others as such.

my accusations are spot on, you claim 100% that water is wet, however the laws of science you work with, the very teachings of science say that nothing is provable, and it never will be, ever, not unless their is a god at least.

For the eight time:
Quote me where I have pushed people to believe science or whatever as 100% fact.
I have supported an entirely different position. I am beginning to believe that you are deliberately misrepresenting my words in order to validate your inaccurate accusations.
I have asked eight times now. And eight times you refuse to do so.
It's futile to keep repeating your accusation ad infinitum or argumentum ad absurdum hoping I'm going to just up and believe you.
EIGHTH TIME: Support your claim.
Quote me where I have done what you claim I have done.
You don't need to have a desire to prove Invisible Elves gave the illusion of wet water- That's Irrelevant. That analogy demonstrates that nothing is ever PROVEN 100% because you cannot prove a Negative- you cannot prove that the non falsifiable doubt is not possible 100%. Please stop distorting and totally misrepresenting what I have said.

No, I have not- USE QUOTES.
QUOTE what I ACTUALLY said Tatsuya before I flat out call you a liar.

From the universe end topic:
No.
In short; Black Holes will not kill the Universe.
Black Holes are a product, nothing more. A black Hole has the same gravity field as the star that collapsed into it, as well. They are not cosmic hoovers.
The difference with a Black Hole is that the radius of the surface is now much much closer to the center of mass, allowing (inverse square law) a body of mass to travel that much closer to the center of mass.
So objects will orbit Black Holes in the same manner they do stars. Only they won't get light from them.
I rest my case, ever been eaten by a black hole to prove yourself?
You say that the universe will not end by black holes, how do you know?
Btw, to the point that started the claim i made, i never said i was right, i just stated what i know from my evidence.

You say that the universe will not end by black holes, how do you know?
You said the Universe will never end.
How do you know?
According to your methodology here- You stated that as fact.
<shrug>
The answer to your question is that there STILL exists a lot of observational evidence that is HIGHLY unlikely to up and get refuted.
Black Hole Theory deals with the property of Black Holes and those properties do not include Universe Gobbling. That is not how they work anymore than ePSXe will magically work with dumped GAMECUBE BIOS if you think it's your viewpoint that it should work. It still won't.

People have the right to believe what they want, discussion is a exchange of views, not an "no your wrong" topic.
That is what you do, you claim others views are wrong, while that would mean yours is right.
I'll say straight up, science has a ton of flaws, but i don't care about that, my issue is when it claims that others are wrong and it's is right.

People may have the right to believe that rocks are pillow-soft... But I'll still lack respect for that claim if a person promotes that claim.
Sorry Tatsuya- but there IS such a things as right and wrong.
If someone configures their ePSXe with the linux office notes and expects it to work- You will tell them they are WRONG>
You will instruct them on how to PROPERLY configure the ePSXe.
Your claim is not realistic in this last post.
If you have some strange personal bias against people correcting others- that's YOUR personal problem and you cannot project it onto other people.
So stop treating me like I'm the evil monster for having the audacity to let someone know if they got something WRONG.
ETA: If I state what scientific theory actually states; And scientific Theory is based upon the principle that it can never be proven 100% fact- Your whole claim that I'm running around presenting 100% facts arrogantly shoots right out the window.
If a discussion is people discussing points of view- then they must be trying to determine which is correct.
You have been pushing a LOT of your own "views" in each of the three threads, including that scientists state things as facts (You have said it in the same manner in which you accused me of stating things as facts), you have stated Einsteins Theory as Relativity as Wrong as fact (in the same manner as described previously)...
Tatsuya- you are even failing your very own argument here.

You shouldn't even call yourself a scientist if you think that way, no good scientist would ever be so insulting.
Using epsxe is a bad example, as a person made epsxe, and gave instructions on how to use it, as well as open source info.
Evolution or god did not tell us how it came about, it didn't leave us a HTML address on how to make more humans or planets.
I have a problem with anyone trying to push their views on others as fact, freedom of rights is just that, the right to have your own opinion without being mocked, that is what i have a problem with.
I'm closing this, it's served it's purpose with this simple answer:
