There's been a flying car since sometime in the 1930's just the wing and tail detached for driving and only had room for one.

Doubtful. It's quaint but not very practical.
Kind of like the Ducks of the 30's and 40's, Skatchets and various other all in ones, it will intrigue readers but never really go beyond that, I think.
