So the other day I started trying to get FFVII to work on ePSXe. I'm fairly new to the concept, but someone helped me out with getting the whole FPS limit set to 60 and whatnot, and now the game does indeed run. However, it seems to experience a great deal of lag, especially during scene transitions (entering into a battle, switching areas) as well as a horrible amount of lag during the cinematics. I"m playing the game off the official CD-ROM. Is there any way for me to make this game run perfectly, or is that an unrealistic explanation for this game. I'm currently using the following configs: Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.9 for video, ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2 for sound, and ePSXe CDR WNT/W2K core 1.5.2 for cdrom. Any help would be appreciate. Thanks!

i tried a similer config before, and yeah it did lag horribly
id suggest using Pete's D3D driver for video, Eternal SPU plugin for sound, and epsxe CDR WNT/W2K core for cd rom, then just config to set for your computer, and it should urn smoothly, however i still get lag when the battle swirl occurs, its probably because i play on a labtop and use a high quality config so i can actually see the battle swirl
also about the battle swirl,if you want to see it, you need to activate special game fixes, click the box next to it,and select the one needed for ff7 about the battle swirl, and you also need to put on off-screen drawing to 4,along with some other things way more up,sorry i dont remember the exact ones, and unless your on a computer thats pretty good,it will cause some lag
