OK...So i've tried a few different Playstation emus and I notice that the ROM file extensions they look for are like .bin and iso. But when I download ROM files from the internet they are o3a or something like that. How do I convert them or load them into the emu or am I just way off target with this?

Thanks for the help.

.o3a? wierd, all the ones ive gotten where bins or isos. Try imaging your own with alcohol, or torrent sites.

U must have downloaded that from some Arcade section, haven't U ?? That looks like a MAME ROM, U R not supposed to unzip those. In fact, don't unzip any ROM unless the emulator requires U to, if it doesn't keep it compressed, most of the emulators R written to pick it up just like that and it saves tons of space on Ur HD if U got thousands of Games ;)...

I have done the same thing usually look for a file extesion that you can recognize befor spending hours after finding a rom it is wasting your time downloding a file that is meant for disribution, sually thats what MAME or box style are protected by, stupid unusable filetypes, but you should tr to find ones that work and tell me how to burn them, I use bitewrite, or will....right now I still do not know how to backup PSX unless trial and error, its the only way

I had this problem with N64. Downloaded some games with a weird file extension and it wouldn't work. I just renamed the file and put a more familiar extension on it such as .z64, .v64, or .rom. That let the game load some of the time. Don't know if that would world for PS games though.
