View Full Version : ePSXe still running after I close the window...

I was playing Megaman Legends 2 earlier today and I saved the game. When I closed the ePSXe window I could still hear the sounds from the game. I ended up opening my Task Manager to see what was up and I saw that epsxe.exe was still running. I ended up shutting it down through Task Manager. When I loaded the game back up my data was gone too, but that was probably due to the forced cancellation of the program. Anyone know why this is going on?
On a sidenote, if this is something that's already been asked I'm sorry for posting. I looked through the threads and didn't see anyone with this problem.

The best way to deal with this is to go file exit when you want to close it down. Don't use the X in the upper right hand corner.

TheX does not shut down epsxe, in my case i lost an hours worth of save data on persona 2.

I'm having the same issue again, this time due to the fact that "file" doesn't appear on the window when I play Soul Rever or Final Fantasy V. Two dungeons beaten in FFV and the data is gone now...T_T

What do you mean "it doesn't appear on the window"?

The "file", "Options", "Tools", etc. stopped appearing on the ePSXe window when I boot up a game. : /

Are you in window or fullscreen?
I use Window when I'm logged in on MSN (75% of the time) and full-screen when I'm not. I tested both and the commands don't appear on either setting.
