The future of meteorology could be the study of the sun and moon. Piers Corbyn can predict weather up to a year in advance and he's usualy right. Enough so that some farmers are paying him for his predictions. He keeps his science a secret but plans to give it out on October 28. This could really help with minimizing the damage done by some of the more dangerous weather.

Might want to prepare for solar maximum, doesn't help that the magnitosphere is weakening, but he is on the right track, the sun has alot to do with the weather, the moon not so much weather as waves, quakes and volcano's.

That's still a reason to watch it since earthquakes can be devistating and cause things like tsunamis.

I'm just saying those aren't technically weather related, even if they are natural.

Yeah, that's true but anything that can predict a natural disaster well in advance is a good thing.

They can't perfect it without astrology.

EDIT:just in case i didn't explain it well, just imagine what the factory worker at a light bulb factory can do to you, EVERYTHING effects everything, however the stars have effects too, energy to energy as they say.

Yeah, but it's a step in the right direction. Plus we can't see very far into space yet (only a few galaxies) so studying those isn't feasable right now. Atleast we can get quality imaging of the sun and moon.

Well, the moon, the sun has a few secrets still, but yeah, your right, it's a step in the right direction, of course it can also breed a doctor evil scenario.

Lol, yeah, but then we could do that now. All it'd take is money.

I bet his technique has something to do with:

A: Being old, leads you to know alot of the seasonal activities, and when it might change due to the weather allready presented.

B: He pays a kid to walk outside, lick his finger, and come back in to tell him if it's snowing or not.

Then he molests that kid......are we going to sit back and let this happen again?
