Sorry for posting this again.

Wait...So if you save then press the red "X" that turns off normal programs, it'll delete your data? That's the only way I cut it off. Is there another way to cut off your game except by the task manager and the red X?

Yes there is, from the File menu select Exit.
Pretty much every program has that option.

Yeah, hitting the X doesn't actualy close the program down and I belive save files are in temp format till you shut it down.

And if that is true, then that totally sucks.

Ok so also, you can't load a save file if you have one in use...I'm using DW3 and I really don't want to shut it down...I tried loading another PSX and pulling up the file but nothing happened so I don't know if I'm safe to exit or not.

I'm not following you.
Can you explain that again?

I'm playing Digimon World 3 and I have it up right now. I made another PSX window pull up and started another Digimon World 3 game. When I tried to load a file it said there was none in existance lol. So, the PSX can't load temp files I'm guessing or something. Oh also it says there is a save file on the original DW3 that I have pulled up.

I think in that case only one instance of the memcard file can be used at a time. DW3 was already using it so the digimon game couldn't access it.

Ryu

That is because the emu can't use the save file that is already in use by another program even if that program it's itself.

Ok so you think that if I close this I'll still be able to pull it back up?

Ryu

If you close it and copy the emu along with the mem card and open them both at the same time you should be able to play and use the same saves with two instances of epsxe. (never tried that)

Oh I don't really want to play with two different versions I was just using that as a test lol.

lol.

Aww...I exited and found when I tried to load it said there was no file...
but also epsxe000.mcr has 1,835 kilobytes packed while epsxe001.mcr has 218 stored? could the first one still have the data in it?

Ryu

IDK, did you actually save the game as you would with a real PS?

Pscyther
06-25-2009, 05:37 PM
yes. I checked with the RUN BIOS command to check the memory card and now it says I have magically obtained an FF9 account and have played it for 12:40.

Is it possible to save a save state to a file and pull it back up or something?

That's funny, you probably used a full card. You should format them before starting a new game. (or have empty ones and just switch them)

How do you format them? All I've done is inserted it to the ePSXe on the configuration what-'cha-ma-jig. Is there something I should do before that? (I literally downloaded and just started playing lol.)

Here is a pair of blank memory cards.

as long as you quick save it, i have a quick save of Castlevania-SotN that's over 3 months old and my laptop has benn shut off and turned on 80 times since then and it's still there

Ryu

um...why'd you post that?
It's self explanatory, its'a a screenshot of the memcard editor from a PS. Just run the bios from the emulator, you should get that screen.
There you can do stuff like copying saves or delete the entire card.
I just posted screenshots so I wouldn't have to write so much stuff.

Oh, as for the "wha-cha-ma-calling", you said something like that a little earlier and I thought it was funny so I used that to.:D

Oh wait...those were screen shots? I downloaded them and started playing my ePSXe again and I could save. Oh btw IT'S FIXED lol. I did lose my legend of Zelda: Majora's mask data. But I don't care because I beat it the night before I lost the data XD
