Basically, this is a poll to decide whether or not this site should have a currency... We have been talking about, and now, I think we should have a vote on it...

My opinion has probably already been shared by someone else, but I believe the ends justifies the means. In otherwords, yeah, look into this currency buisness please.

I voted not sure because I am not sure, which is almost synonymous with maybe. I love money, though. I wish I had much of it.

yeah but there has to be some incentive for people to want to WIN the money...maybe charge for ROM downloads...? in coolbucks of course (my idea for the name of the currency:D)

How about the money sybmolizes our gameplay skill, and we can use it to give requirements for PMing users ESA ROMs or helping them out in areas you normally don't want to. Or just generally for recognition? This can go simply, if you want.

Actually, I tried to stick to the origional idea as much as possible. Complication, in this case, would not be a good thing.

i still think that this wont work now if you changed them into points like one point for every 5 posts or you could get certain amounts of points for achievements or being the first to do something then you could go somewere

isnt that what we were talking about? i think that has been the idea, we were (at least i was) discussing what incentives there were befor people to earn the points. they have to be used for something!

We couldn't do that. Then people wouldn't come to our site. We'd be no better than one of those forced voting sites. Plus, how would they compete to win money in NetPlay if they had no ROMs?

No. That is horribly wrong. We can't organize sending ESAs to people. We should just help out either way. I'm not sure admin would like an organized way for us to send you illegal ROMs anyhow.

And, I mean points as allowance each day just for participating in the site. i.e. posting a certain amount each day, but not making any trouble. But you wouldn't get that much money. just a small amount. The real money would come from doing other things. You might get a tiny amoun for voting in polls. You could get a fair amount for winning NetPlay battles....

you would still gain points from posting, it wouldnt be that hard to gain points. it would be like a membership thing for the site.

Yes, but some people just come to visit the site and get ROMs. Then, others hear about it from them, and end up joining the site. Plus, admin would never go for it. That would be stupid that we would charge points for the ROMs.

maybe we could just have them as trophies and you could click on them to see what a certain person has done like
1 point- each day you have logged in
1 point- every 5 posts
1 point- every thread
1 point- every poll
5 points - every week you have logged in
10 points- ever month
100 points - every year
-2 points every post deleted
-5 points every thread closed
-10 points - every thread deleted
-20 points - every day banned

and certain special things

like in the tournaments in general gaming
you could bet points on who was going to win
and + 50 points if your character won

and 25+ points for every thread that is stickied

and there probably would be more

Not so sure. It all depends on what to use it. It has worked for some sites and not for others. I do know the hack for the store is known as VbPlaza.

I am not so sure how we should work out the whole money earning thing, but you shouldn't lose money for deleteing topics or posts. What if there is a pornographic request, like I had to delete the other day? I lose 10 points just for that? Also, we NetPlay fairly frequently. So, if I won two battles, I would have already gotten a year's worth of money by ridley's standards. This should all just be up to admin. Admin! You need to be the judge. Pick out what you like and discard what you don't. It is your site after all....
