Do emulators run as well on Linux (or Mac) as they do on Windows?

I can't speak for Macs, but I've actually had greater success with certain Linux-based emus than their Windows counterparts. That's not to say they're inherently superior, though for the most part they're on par.

Fusion is also built for Linux.
