Does anyone here have Halo for the PC? I really need an inside recomandation before I buy it. I've played the some on Xbox, but I wanted to know if the one for PC is as good?
When you post, tell what you have chosen in the poll.
It's twenty bucks. If you system can support it, BUY BUY BUY!

My computer is not a problem. :D
I play this game still semi-regularly, and I bought it quite a while ago. It's a worthwhile buy, IMO. And if system specifics aren't a problem, all the better.

I have Halo in my PC... and my Pc can set it to kickassly high graphics mode since my video card is 256, ram is 1024, and my processor is 3.0 GHz HT, but if your pc's as powerful as you say so, you should just buy Half-life 2. Because once you finish HL2 there are tons of mods for you to download throughout the community, both singleplayer and multiplayer mods. So... it pretty much depends on you... Halo's not bad too, but it has less mods than HL2... :D

I second that. My PC is even better, and I have the free trial and it has good graphics.

I am not sure what to say about mine. Its graphics card is NVidia GeForce FX 5200, and it is medium with emulation. 30 GB disk space. Pretty standard/low. But it has shutdown/boot problems. (Though it boots and loads Windows XP when I turn it on in like 30 seconds or less.) It's sometimes really slow with shutting down. Not to mention how it suddenly crashes to the level where I can't move my mouse or do anything except shut it down improperly or beat the hell out of it. It just crashes rarely when I load a floppy disk and more commonly when I configure 1964 while in the middle of a NetPlay match.

Oh, and also, the subject of this thread is bad. This is not a must-read thread, so you should not title it so. I understand that you want everyone to participate in voting, but it is not an emergency poll or anything. Everyone wants CoolROM's users to participate in their polls. I really should rename this thread, but I won't. Reason being: You may not recognize it after I rename it, and I don't want to cause confusion. With a thread title like this, people might say, "Hey, stop a moment. This guy wants me to read this." But they might get angry if they see it is a waste of their time...which I feel it has been. In short, never title future threads like that again, please, or I will rename them without hesitation.

How can you rename it? I thought you were moderator of a different section....

How can you rename it? I thought you were moderator of a different section....As you can see by looking at my signature, I am the moderator of the PC Gaming/Emulation forum.
And if you have any questions about your 'powers' or duties as I moderator, you can ask any moderator or the admin.

I'll ask you. What is everything I can do? as moderator of the General Gaming thread.

I'll ask you. What is everything I can do? as moderator of the General Gaming thread. As the moderator of any CoolROM forum...your powers are the same, only they apply just to the forum/forums you moderate. (Pizzaman was wrong when he said you can't be moderator of multiple forums.) While in a thread of the General Gaming forum, click on the "Thread Tools" option on the toolbar at the near top of the page of any thread. You will see some additional administrator tools for the thread. I'll leave you to learn about them. Try the Edit Thread option. Review all of the options carefully.
And in the index of the General Gaming forum, you can select the checkbox by multiple threads and perform actions with all of them at once. The third option sends the thread to the moderation queue, which I'll explain later.
Moderators and the admin have their own control panel. For moderators, you can log in via this URL:
http://www.coolrom.com/forums/modcp/index.php
I'll let you play around there. They have help menus and stuff if you want help about the Moderator Control Panel. But what's sad is that there isn't a whole lot you can do there as it seems. The only considerable things you can do there that you must use the Control Panel to do is add and edit announcements for the General Gaming forum, search user IP addresses, and view threads, posts, and attachments sent to the moderation queue.
That's all I can muster right now...I'll let you know if I forgot something.

Thankyou very much Iconoclast.
I think this helped a lot.Sure thing. And if you want...here's one more thing. Some moderators post what they call 'stickies'. When editing a thread using the Edit Thread option, you can make a thread become a sticky, which means it's always at the top of the forum's list of threads, no matter how old it is. But what most moderators do with this is make threads on the rules of the forum they moderate. So if you have any rules for the General Gaming forum in mind, you can post a sticky on it. I posted my sticky here:
