hello this is nick always visit this site . i have a gb, gbp, gbc, gba. ps1, ps2, pc[obviousely] n64 with golden and all n64 games ,sega genesis, gbasp, dream cast. most recent a ds and psp . had a xbox,Soon to get an Xbox 360. still have snes and nes. sega saturn. game cube. I like anime. just pick the system that looks like the best to me (and usually end up getting the others later), I'm a fan of , but I'll play anything with good gameplay. I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of sports games, possibly because I was never a fan of sports in general.im a dbz and sonicfan but i also am starting to be a final fantasy fan.i also get the mags nintendo power game informer and psm.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to meeting some of my fellow gamers. I like to think I'm fairly approachable and friendly, and I like to treat people equally, despite their gaming preferences.

I have an xbox, xbox 360, gcube, ps2, n64, dreamcast, pc, psp, and a ds. Everything else i have emulated except for a few lame systems like virtual boy.
I own close to 100 console games, and ive played so many games i couldnt even estimate. My favorite series is oddworld but i love fps and fighting games aswell and i own anything considered as good in the 2 categorys. I have been gaming since the 286 days when all the old adventure games where coming out thats what got me started. I have 2 favorite emulation sites, this one due to its high speeds and good selection and poweremu.net cause it has a good selection aswell.

Heyas i have or have had about every major system you can think of including some of the not so popular ones. (i.e. torbographix, coleco vision) heh i even used to have pong.... unfortunately i learned the value of keeping ahold of my older systems a bit too late in the game. currently i have a GBA, Gamecube, xbox, pc, ps1, and ps2...

i'm more into RPG and action/adventure games... the occasional sports game but the RPG's are my weakness.

Hey, I'm xtishereb (x - t - is - here -b), and I know much about the way computer programs work, but not how they work.
I have a GameCube, N64, and a Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance floating somewhere around in my house.
I use Ubuntu Linux (http://www.ubuntu.com/) for this machine, I installed it about 2 weeks ago and it's been pretty awesome. I've got Windows XP on my other computers. None of them particularly have much in the way of computing horsepower, so I don't really play any newer, commercial 3D games. What I primarily do is check out freeware 2D shooter games like Soldat (http://www.soldat.pl) and CS2D (http://www.fpsbanana.com/?section=viewitem.info.games.all.4), as well as anything else that interests me (Cave Story, Street Bike Fury, Duo).
Right now I'm messing around with VisualBoyAdvance. I installed it, and then found out it doesn't have a GUI on Linux. This means I need to run it with a command line and mess around with the config file manually.

I'm sure you're totally facinated by this and read all that stuff up there. Just let me know if you need help with getting DOS, GB, NES, SNES or Genesis emulators to run. Or if you want to know how to rip sounds with VisualBoyAdvance.

Examples:

I know how to use the Soldat Mod Changer, but not how it was coded.
I know that you need to mount drives in DOSBox in order to get games to run and how to mount games, but not why mounting works (something about setting folders as drives) or how DOSBox works.

Basicly I'm just an experimenter that doesn't know any code. I'm probably going to take a C++ course in school next year, though.

The names Spike, Been Gamin Nearly 15 Years.i've got most emulators and some you wouldn't believe i've got somewhere in the region of 3,500 ROMS for my Emu's. aMainly an Action gamer, Platformers, 2D Side Scrollers, RPG's. Spend WAY too much time downloadin. which my girlfriend hates.

Get yoursef G-Force graphics andf up your memory to 512mb as long as you've got XP OS And a decent CPU (P3 or above) they will work.

Hellp everyone I am fairly new to PC gaming in the past I had: 2 NES', 2 SNES', genesis, N64, PS1, DC, PS2 GB, GBA, GBC, and now own 3 computers and am reaildy learning how windows works I have a P1 that I cant seem to upgrade if my life depended on it. other than that I use a P3 toshiba for net connection that I peaced together refurbished it and installed the OS fresh (more than once due to pop up spy ware infection once or twice) and am currently peiceing togther a p4 desktop that will be an offline gaming rig. I am 16 (2006) and I have 12 years of gaming experience.
I was four when I beat my first game (TOP GUN on NES).
After a while I got interested in electronics.
In 1999 I got a non working Mega Drive which I repaired
and fell in love with it. Year later I got my first four
computers (486), half year later I got a P166.
Then I found out about emulators and I started to
download ROMs (@ 2K/s with a dial-up).
My first emulator was KGen98 and first ROM was
Sonic the hedgehog 1.
Now I have about 450 games, 50 PC games,
200 Sega ROMs (SMD,SMS,MCD,32X),
200 Nintendo ROMs (NES,SNES) plus
hole bunch of homebrew games for PC
created with QBasic.
If I have more money then I would get a
Mega CD, a 32X and whole bunch of cartridges
and CDs for them.
I love Sonic the hedgehog and I love consoles
from SEGA !!!

Hi all, Im 27 and from Pennsylvania, US. I currently own a Gamecube, Super Nintendo, Sega Saturn(modded) atari 2600, and of course, a pc or two. I have owned in the past, a NES system (w/out ROB, sucks!) Sega genesis w/ 32X and Sega CD(Model 2) w/ menacer!!! (I LOVED that gun, wireless, more than one button, where have the good times gone?) I alos have a two player, six buttons each MAME stick I built using HAPP arcade controls... Cost around 75$ for the parts, and worth every penny. I only have around 160 MAME roms, but they are the only ones I would play anyway... My latest obbessesion has been w/ Saturn ISO(I can play them on my saturn bc of the modchip.) Will porbably get a dreamcast in the next month or so, but I prob will just buy the gamediscs off of ebay for that. I heard you had to downsample most of the ROMS for them to fit on CD-R's, and sometimes cut out movies and music, and that just wouldn't be fun. I also recently aqcuired Donkey Kong Jungle Beat with the bongos!!! I must say that isone of the most fun and innovative games I've played thus far... For all you PainStation fans.. you don't know what your mising.... come to the dark side... muwhahahahaha!!!! BTW i have much experience with Arcade controls and such, so if any body has any questions about building arcade controls, id be glad to point you in the right direction!!!

Let me introduce myself; I'm a mega-oldschool-hardcore gamer who puts Nintendo and Rare above the rest of the pack. loves late 80's and 90's rock (I even love early punk stuff like Agent Orange, The Ramones, Bad Religion, Rancid, etc. I love Led Zeppelin and Soundgarden, too. I also like most grunge.) and non-crappy metal, and did I mention I have the vocabulary of a **** and cheese sandwitch when it comes to describing myself?

About myself: I consider myself to beee z knof dial. nf.

Like I said, I can't introduce myself well at all, exept at parties.

My systems, though, I can account for. I have a NES, a NES casing with a DVD player inside, a Game Boy, GBC, GBA, DS, Japanese DS lite, a SNES, a Dreamcast, a N64, a Gamecube, a steroided computer made in 2003 or something, and a couple of Gibson guitars, both of which I cannot for the life of me remember the names of.

I play games like Metal Gear (the whole series), the Zelda series, Banjo Tooie, Perfect Dark, the Bomberman series, a hella lotta Mario, mostly all MAME games, Half Life mods, Counter-Strike, a hellhole busload dumpfull of computer games ranging from Sid Meier's Pirates! to Half-Life 2 to Guild Wars.

I get most of them for cheap; believe you me. The ones I didn't get for el cheapo I worked my *** off for, so I consider it an accomplishment when I take my meager check to the bank and buy a game or two. :)

When I was seven I started playing the guitar and got very excited and I've played it ever since... When I was three I got my first console a SNES... I got hooked the moment i saw it and ave been gaming ever since.... Since then I've gotten the gameboy (all of them), N64, PSX, PS2, XBOX, NDS, XBOX360, I've preordered the PS3 already and ofc a com that OWNS....!!! I'm crazy about emulators... I've actually got over 5.000 roms...!

Experience: Well, I have been on the forum a month longer than both of you guys. I therefore have a month more experience than you. I am on this site 18/7. I look at the Who's Online section every 5 minutes, and you're not on most of the time. You had your lucky head start, but you did not take advantage of it. As far as what you've spent your time on, it's been socializing, and that's what you're better than most mods at. Not everything, godfather. I edited my previous post. If just logic, the defending arguer may or may not be able to understand or accept what is obscure due to merely the arguer's attitude. It's when people tend to be the last one talking in an argument out of selfishness instead of consideration that the argument comes to a future-improving resolution. I'd recommend a PSX/N64 to USB adapter, if you have a N64 or PSX controller. I'd hit that up in a google search, if I were you :D

Hehe, im pretty much impossible to offend so South Park is the perfect show for me. Theres only a couple episodes I wont watch and thats only because they suck. Pips episode, Kenny Dies, and Hellen Keller the musical are the only ones I really hate. Although that episode with the people from the future with "The Pile" I thought was a little sick.

Meanwhile, the world is leeching off our pop culture and media. We get to supply culture (crappy as it is) but are rewarded with absolutely no credit for anything.
