Hey guys I am new to this emulater stuff, and I am completely LOST! Please help me. Ok this is what I want to do. I want to play Final Fantasy 7,8,and 9 on my PSP. I have the psp moded by a pandora's box. I have a memory stick duo to save games in.

Thats all I know...

What emulator do I need to play these 3 games on the PsP. Where do I save the emulator on my memory stick. Where do I save the 3 games so I can play. Do I need to convert the games to any certain file type?

I put that one in the wrong spot so I was putting it in the correct spot. Thought it would get lost there. I am sorry bout that. Checking it now.

Well, this is the right spot. But the deed had already been done. I'll move my post over here.

Hello everyone! I just got my PSP moded with a pandora's box, and the person that did the mod kinda left me in the dark on how to get the games I wanted to play on it.

I am wanting pretty much all the PS1 Final Fantasy games. I see the links to get the games on the first page. The problem is...

Which emulater do I need for the PSP, and where do I put the emulater file (or which part of the file) in my memory stick duo. Do I need to do anything special to the game files once I DL them?

I read the first 3 page and it just confused me even more. I know this is a simple process; I just need help on my first time. Thank you!

Actually the process isn't as simple as you think. Since your PSP was modded recently, it should have the latest custom firmware. This means it already includes the "emulator". First, you must download the game. After that you need to make an EBOOT to play on your PSP. Once you have it downloaded, let me know. I'll guide you through it ;)

Welcome to CoolROM :)

EDIT: You need to use a certain program and design quite a few things to create the EBOOT. I'll work on getting the files uploaded.

Thank you very much! I am currently downloading Disc 1 of FF 8. I am guessing I will just need to rinse and repeat for 7 and 9 correct?

I'm sorry about all the confusion with the posting. Thank you for fixing it.

Disc 1 is about 25% done.

I would actually just work on one at a time. Stick with FF8 for now. Also, how big is your memory card?

Don't worry about it :p

It is 8 GB. I plan on only playing 1 at a time. So I only need one game on the actual card and the other 2 stored on the comp for when I finish the one. Unless more can fit.

Alright, just making sure that your card had enough memory. You could probably fit all 3 if you want.

I might try that then later on then once I see how much room they will actualy take up. I can easily move some of my current games that were preloaded for me to my comp to make room also.

Ok Disc 1 is done.

Not to be a scrooge, but you aren't supposed to double post. Just use the edit button in the future :p

Anyways, you need to download all the discs to proceed. Unless you just want to play the first one..?

ah ok, learning the forums rules sorry bout that also. I want to be able to play them all. I am guessing there has to be some kind of merge between all the discs?

As for disc 2 goes, I started the download. I just need to make sure it is compatable with the first disc. I Dled the first disc from the first link. I skipped down to the First mirror (non-classic I think it was) to get the 2nd disc because the 2nd link said to use a mirror. Did I grab the wrong one?

When I went down to the Disc 2 section of mirros all of the mirrors I opened were of FF7 so I exited those.

Yea, the program can merge them together into one EBOOT.

No, the one you grabbed should be fine.

And thanks for letting me know. Those links I posted are for FFVII and not FFVIII. Thanks lol :mad2: I will move those now.

No problem at all. It looks like the 2nd disc is going to take about 4 hours. So more than likely I will hit you up tomorrow once all 4 discs are done, unless something crazy happens lol. Thank you for all your help. I will talk to you when the downloads are complete!
