Digimon World Text Problem

I downloaded ePSXe 1.6 (for gameshark purposes because i have noticed and read on the forums that the change ISO option doesnt seem to work in the 1.7 version of ePSXe) and i also downloaded the ISO for the game Digimon World. My problem isnt running the game itself but there is a glitch where the text will overlap and i can barely understand what im reading. For example, i talk to palmon to recieve my 3 pieces of meat everyday and the first thing she says takes up the majority of the text box, but when u click X for the next statement, u will have the next message and remnants of the previous message scrambled in so u can barely understand what is being said. I would like to know is there a fix for this in areas such as emulation configuration or is this a problem i have to just deal with?

First, get 1.7 from utilities. Second, go to configure, video and configure again, then go to the bottom and hit the nice button. That should solve your problem.

I also had the same problem. The words are goih34as 1lFsd4t4 and some were cut in half.
The way I fixed, is to change the resolution, It was 400x300, then I changed it to 1042x768.
Then it was fixed.
