8-bit program

I am looking for a free program or something I could buy that would let me make my own 8 bit game or all up to SNES capabilities. if any one knows it would be a great help. I wasnt sure where to post this at

Look for RPG Maker 2003 for the PC. You can find it to download easily enough. There are other versions but most people prefer that one. Sorry, but a link can't be given for it since the PS version is only allowed here. Though if you make a game then you're free to post that.

I believe that megaman9 fever effect on his fan, personally I would like to make my own megaman edition :D
so could anyone tell me what is the program that might help us to start creating 8-bit games?

I think Game Maker would be a good choice although the full programe costs $20 dollars it will allow you to create simple 8bit type games with no programing.

If you want to go the free rout and use a real programming language you should google search 'pygame'.
