Recording sound with NES emulators

I've been trying to record the music from NES games using emulators. However, every time I try to record, the emulator (and the sound file) always skips. This isn't a problem towards a specific ROM or emulator, as I've tried multiple emulators and multiple ROMS with the same result. Is there any way to fix this problem, and better yet, what emulator should I be using to record sound?

Try an outside recorder, like camstudio, and see if you get the same problem.
