They are rivals, actually... Equal in ability.

He is gullible, so he sometimes takes sh** from Eggman or someone (Sonic 3, Sonic Advance 2 to name a few, not to mention the comics...)

In Sonic Adventure 2, Knux was not really scared but a little stunned when he first saw King Boom Boo in Eggman's pyramid base.
He also is stunned with fear just like all other characters when a ghost appears outta the wall in Sonic Adventure 2.

Also, on the scared of nothing note, at the end of Team Sonic's story in Sonic Heroes, after defeating Egg Emperor, something like this is said:

Knuckles: Wow, talk about cutting it close...
Sonic: Eh, not really...
Knuckles: C'mon, you're saying you weren't scared?

^I think that is accurate, if not then sorry.
Knuckles probably wouldn't have brought that up if he was not scared at all...
(It was a difficult boss, BTW...)

Oh, okay I understand. But I can't remember Sonic Adventure 2 story or i haven't read the comics either or played Sonic Heroes. I'm only going by the show. I haven't seen every episode but from the ones i've seen, that's what i'm describing him from. Also if they where equal (knuckles=speed+strength/ sonic=speed+strength) knuckles would win because he has sharp knuckles and if hit sonic it would end his career. Did you see Sonic X (Sonic v.s Knuckles) if knuckles would of landed them punches Sonic would of been done.

right, sonic's speed cancels knuckles's stength out and vice versa, so they are equal.

Yes! Kefka! Kefka Rocked! He had that laugh that sounded like a vaccuum cleaner. I also liked Sabin. He trained and such, and could shoot aura bolts, he was just plain cool.

Anyhoo, my favorite characters: Link(duh), Sonic, Luigi, Yoshi, Megaman, Zero, Kirby, Andross from Star Fox Adventures because he has an accent, Falco, um...I'm sure there are more, and thos earen't in any order....

Because popularity is unfair and Knuckles is undiscovered talent. Also, he has to guard the Master Emerald all the time, so not many people may know about him. Even if many people do know about him, they are too used to Sonic saving their junk and they continue to use him. But, the people have once turned against both Sonic and Knuckles (Sonic in Sonic Adventure 2 and Knuckles in his chapter in Sonic Battle) so they haven't generated any tenyer yet.

Sonic and Knuckles have different abilities, so it's a bit hard to compare them. But, they seem to have the same or close to the same overall ability. How else would they be rivals? If they weren't the same, then one would win easily every time and stuff.

Not necessarily easily, but in Sonic 3, you have to beat knuckles to continue on. Sonic is better in my opinion, but these ar ejust opinions, so let's not continue this.

Aaron, and Wakka! Those guys crack me up. Actually Maximilian from Cloud 2 is pretty awesome himself. I just love that game.
