mario and zelda ROMs

can you guys get super mario brothers 1, super mario brothers 2, super mario brothers 3, the legend of zelda, and the legend of zelda 2 on the NES?

No. These are ESA-protected ROMs, and you are not allowed to request for them.

Kameo, I gave admin my suggestion, and he applied it. I don't see how they still cannot see that you are not allowed to request for these ROMs. I just think admin should reword what is said there. If you're reading this, admin, I haven't checked your message, but does it say that it is illegal to request the ROM anywhere? Does it say, "Do not request for it on our forums?"

Well, should be obvious, I guess. They should read the rules about requesting here before they do, but they never read it until I close their threads, so mostly I just close them with out any explanation ;).

99.9% of the people requesting for stuff like that never come back anyway :p. U can see it in the way they have filled in their profiles, an empty profile is surely never going to come back ;). I don't even help those most of the time :)...

Right. But I think admin shouldn't be having this statement at the bottom of the ROMs section of CoolROM.com:

"Can't find the ROM you are looking for? Request it on our forums!"

That is a REALLY good way to boost the number of false CoolROM users; I don't see why he does that. Except, I hear the site is missing some legal ROMs. Then he should make the link to a page not directly taking them to the forums, but first to a notice on which ROMs they cannot request. Either that, or trash threads like these should be hard deleted. But yeah, I agree that you're handling this the best way. I'm only saying it is not impossible to solve this problem.
