how about final fantasy tactics? isn't it the best one? man i love that one i played it thousand times, i really like it, the best reaction ability for me is blade grasp! its soooooooo coooool.
the best part of the game is the deep dungeon for me, i love to collect all the items, and it's very good when u find female ninjas! the trow chaos blades, ragnarocks, whale whiskers, javelin II and many others...thats a good way to get the chaos blade early
i like to make a ramza like this:
squire, whit guts, draw out, blade grasp, attack up, teleport
i think ramza its the best....off course orlandu is a lot more powerfull....but i like ramza he is cool.:D
i know some cheats, like the JP incrase or the item duplications

final fantasy tactics rules...one of my fave titles for psx...my fave setup for that game was to make ramza a ninja with guts so i could boost my attack power over and over and make him so powerful...i can hit 999's twice with him like that...and yes teleport is awesome in itself

Personally I hated Tactics... Worst one made imo. Best Would Have to be FF7 omg it was sooooooooo awesome, especially since ive been playing it for 8 years. ive beat it soo many times. Another bad one was FF8 the whole thing was stupid as hell

i think that the history of tactics it's very nice...i mean all the things that happen in the whole game are very exiting it really catches me...the others versions of ff are really nice but i really like this one because of the history, i think that the secont what i like most is ff7 too i like it a lot
i forgot to say that i like too the two sword ability, i put it specially when im going to battle a boss to kick his big, weak and stupid ass!

Square really showed the world they knew what they were doing when they made Final Fantasy 7 and tactics. I like 8 and 9 too but tactics is so awesome because there were no big overblown movies it was pure game play that was super addictive! The game speaks for itself, same with ff7. Yes Cloud and friends didnt look as hot as the characters in 8 or 9 but don't let that stop you! ;)

FFIII was definitely my favorite as far as the story line but you really can't go wrong with any of them up to X. VII really did make a huge impression on me when I first played it and X just blew me away. Incredible story line, fantastic graphics and a mini game that's fun to play on its own. I haven't bothered to play X2 though. It seemed to get favorable reviews but for some reason it just doesnt appeal to me. Playing dress up with Luna and her friends isn't my idea of a great RPG but I'm sure there's a lot more to it than that. I'll pick it up in the bargain bin for 5 dollars someday and I'm thinking I'll be pleasantly surprised

I'm did 9999 damage with four of my guys, which is the most they can do unless you customize their weapons( Which I can't because of a stupid thing I did. )

I'd want to play X, but I haven't got a PS2... It can never beat FF7 though. FF7 is a masterpiece, one of the greatest games ever made, even though it's 3D (OoT is better still)
FF1 is one of the greatest FF games too. It's strangely addictive... I've found none of the FF games too difficult, except for some reason FF2/4! I did alright at first, but the Dark Elf was a kick in the face, as was many of the bosses I faced.

FF7 has got the best music of the FF games. The boss battle music is awesome and Aeris' Theme is beautiful.
I didn't like the fixed cameras of FF7, though. They should've used an overhead view. Same goes for 8 too. Haven't played any other 3D FF game.

I'm sure FFVII will get better as it goes, but FFX seems to be in a whole different league. It's like FFVII, but it has endless posibbilities. Well I'll just tell you one thing to start off. The weapons. You can customize them. You can equipt as many as 4 traits on them. They're very useful a lot of times. I'll just show you some conbinations that I made on my game;

Note: Overdrive is sort of like the Limit move In FFVII.

Kihmari's Weapon ( Warrior dude )
Double AP ( Doubles experienced earned. )
Overdrive->AP ( Makes the overdrive turn into experience. )
Triple Overdrive ( Makes the overdrive fill three times the normal speed. )
Counter ( Makes it so that when he gets attacked, he attacks back.

Lulu's Weapon ( She's a mage. )

One MP Cost ( Makes it so that all spells cost 1 MP, she has around 600 MP, so you get the idea. )
Magic Booster ( Makes magic attacks do more damage. )
Something else that I forgot.

Lulu's armor ( I'm still talking about the mage. )
Fire eater ( Abosrbs all fire attacks )
Ice eater ( Abosrbs all ice attacks )
Lighting eater ( Abosrbs all lightning attacks )

What happened with Kihmari is that he was the suckest person in my team, so I gave him a little boost. Now he's my third strongest. First is Auron, second is Lulu, third is Kihmari, and fourth is Tidus( Although I never use Lulu. ). Lulu would kill so much *** if she had the Break Damage Limit trait, but I can't get that unless I get those secret weapons. Auron, Lulu, Kihmari, and Tidus all do 9999 damage on my game, so it's impossible to get them to do more unless I get that Break Damage Limit trait on their weapons.

The FFX story is awesome! I hate the ending, but you might like it. It's a secret, so you'l have to figure it out by yourself. I did finish it though. I'm gonna start it all over when they finally fix that PS2 emulator. It'll take a couple of months( Probably around 3 or 4 ) until FFX will work at decent enough speed to play on my computer, so that sucks ***. My PS2 is broken too, so I can't play it even if I wanted to.

Dark Cloud 2 is one of the best games ever. It has a sort of Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts storyline, so that's probably why I like it. I heard that Dark Cloud 1 sucked though. OK im going to write my opinions on all the Final Fantasy games.

FF I
I have played the remake on Final Fantasy Origins, but not the original. The remake was an incredible game, addicting fun battle system and a simple but classic storyline. I've only gotten half way through because i was busy playing FF II.

FF II
I think this game is amazing, at first i thought the way you get stronger was horrible, but as i learned to understand on it it was actually pretty fun, but easy to cheat through. I beat this game but all the dungeons were extremely tedious and dull 2/3's through the game, but i stuck through and beat it.

FF III
So far they havent released a remake of this game in North America yet(i think), i heard that they will make a 3D version of it on the PSP, but i have the ROM of it and intend to play it eventually, though it doesnt look very new or different.

FF IV
This game is very good from what I've heard, though i havent played this either, but i will eventually.

FF V
Again I havent played this game but will download the ROM

FF VI
Yes i played this game and have the ROM but only got to Edgar'scastle and decided not to go any further for now because i got into Chrono Trigger. But i will play it and beat it eventually, everyone sais the storyline is so great but I think 2D games dont really draw me in at first, and surprise me later.

FF VII
Ahhh the most popular Final Fantasy game, and also my favourite. This is the one that got me into the whole RPG genre. The funny thing is my mom's old boyfriend bought the game for me, i hated that guys guts but i have to thank him for that. Amazing storyline and impressive graphics for its time, though i never understood it completely, because they left out so many things that they should have put in, like vincents past. Good battle system but not the best ive ever seen. Great music, battle music didnt feel repetitive at all for me, boss musiuc was fun and frightening, and the time where aeris died was incredible, i even cried(i was 9 at the time).

FF Tactics
This was a great break from tradition, even though it didnt seem like it with the short cutscenes, it had a very indepth and heartfelt storyline. The battles could get annoying walking across the whole map over and over again. I have beaten it several times and its great fun because you can play it over with different character combinations. The music did get repetitive in battles but im glad that they kept it suddle so it didnt get annoying.

FF VIII
This game I am playing over again for about the fifth time again right now. A series of conflics. I liked Squall because i feel i can relate to him in many ways. I also liked that romance was one of the main parts of this game. The battle system was new and also the junction system i didnt really like at first but got used to it. i liked the whole idea of the GF's. I was surprised how much advancements they did with the CGI from FF7, i have to say i was on shock with the battle scene between Galbadia and Balamb garden, this is the most entertaining game i have ever played graphicwise. And the music fit good with the battles and everything. And also this game gives me some sad feelings because one of the times i had been replaying it a few years ago, i had been extremely depressed.

I am also playing this game right now again too. I didnt like the main character too much, he seemed a bit girly, but i understood him further into the game. Like it sais on the back of the case, "In every way, FFIX takes the best of the old and mixes it with the best of the new', i completely agree with this because i think fans of the old final fantasy games didnt like the futuristic style of 7 and 8( i did though ). The battle system was straight forward and not confusing, i liked that only certain people could use certain abilities, so it makes everyone significant. Though the storyline was indepth it did seem dull and kind of pointless sometimes. I LOVED the chocobo mini game to death, i had to mention that. [[[SPOILER ALERT]]]One thing that dissappointed me was the last boss at the end, some stupid crystal, who showed up out of ****ing nowhere, i was into chasing kuja everywhere and respected him but he was weak as hell. And i think the crystal was god or something because he said he created everything, i think it was just a sort of symbolism as though they will fight through everything together and noone can stop them, hey maybe thats what they were going for?hmmmm. The battle music was the most repetitive thing i've ever heard, dont got me wrong this is one of my favourite games ive ever played, but its true. I didnt like the cartoony feeling of the characters too much. But this is the game where i feel the most welcome, everywhere you go theres citizens so you dont feel alone, unlike some other ones that felt lifeless. I thought Steiner was hilarious, and i felt happy when him and Zidane finally got along and became friends. I had alot of stuff i wanted to say about this game but thats pretty much it :).

I dont own a ps2 but i played this game at my friends house a few times and i really like the sphere grid idea. I hated how there was no world map, that just ****es me off. The graphics were so smooth, they looked more real then any other video game i ever played. I dont have much more to say.

I heard this game is too short. The only part of this game I ever saw was my friend playing the last boss battle of the game, and from the ending, it looks very romantic.

Meh. I think Square made a huge mistake making this game online, but i dont know how they could have made another single player game any better then the last ones. Even though i think Final Fantasy games should be something to enjoy and be played privately by yourself, i would like to try this game out.

Another online FF that i heard is supposed to be way better then the last, once again the graphics look stunning, and it takes place in the world in Ivalice(the world in FF tactics), i wonder if Ramza will be some sort of legend in that game? that would be pretty cool, but once again i wouldnt like it too much, because i think online games take away attention from the storyline, which final fantasy is mostly based on and loved for, but thats just my opinion.

So that is what i think about all of them.

Lol, 50 hours is how much you need to beat it bearly. I beat it at 150 hours, and it was heck of easy. I got almost everything extra in the game, but there's a lot of stuff, so I suggest you get it. This game is awesome.

FFX rating stuff;

Graphics: 10/10. It has one of the best graphics out for PS2 at it's time, and they're still pretty dang nice.

Music: 9/10. They could have used something a little bit better, but it's still good.

Level up meathod: 10/10. The way you level up on this game is awesome, you'd have to see it to understand it.

Storyline: 10/10. So many twists and turns, that it's not even hilarious. You never expect what's going to happen next.

Characters: 8/10. Some of them I don't like, but overall, it's pretty good odds.

Overall rating: 9.4( Music and characters I don't really care about, so I would personally give it a 10/10. )

IDK, but it's sort of mysterious I guess you could say. I almost never pay attention to the music because I'm too in the game to care. It's calm though, so you don't get annoyed or anything, and the battle music is the best.

Well, one part is that it's the most overated game ever made. You browse the internet, and nearly everybody either calls themselves "cloud ollollool" or "sephiroth lololooll".
When you have a character battle (Deciding which character would win in battles, etc.) They always win, even though most of their powers are gotton from materia, which aren't their own powers. Try playing the game without materia, then you'll see how weak ff7 characters are.
The storyline wasn't very good, IMO. The characters were kind of predictable in a game with spiky headed people.

"Mysterious spiky headed tough kid" - Cloud.
"Burly sidekick who shouldn't be taking orders from a bunch of anime rejects" - Barret.
"Unintentionally slutty woman" - Tifa

"Something not human" - Cait Sith
"Somebody like a pirate/owns a ship or something similar that the people need" - Cid

Well, one part is that it's the most overated game ever made.The most overrated game ever made was probably Halo (IMO). It was pretty good, but it was MASSIVELY promoted well beyond what it should have been. Microsoft is full of marketing geniuses, apparently.

Graphics are nice, but usually irrelevant. The PS2 had bad (by bad I mean worse than the other consoles at the time) graphics because it was baisically a PS1 painted black with a DVD drive. But it still had some okay games, and that's what matters.

Graphics are nice, but usually irrelevant. The PS2 had bad (by bad I mean worse than the other consoles at the time) graphics because it was baisically a PS1 painted black with a DVD drive. But it still had some okay games, and that's what matters.

I hold that in my hands, and it freaking feels like somebody took a controller made expressly for small children, enlarged it without making the buttons bigger, and added a couple of trigger buttons that are annoying to reach without making you want to randomly flip the bird at people.

I'm not picky about feel when it comes to controllers, but the Dual Shock 2 is a work of crap.

I have never played them, but they looked pretty gay to me too. I have heard both good and bad reviews for them though, but the good reviews said the game was okayish, and the bad reviews said it utterly sucked, so I think it would depend.

Well the only FF for gamecube I ever heard of was FF Chronicles and its not really fun to play unless you play with other people. My gamecube was stolen by the time it came out unfortunatly so I have never got to play it :'(, but It would be fun to play with other people if you ask me.

Crystal Chronicles is boring like hell when U play alone, not really worth playing it all by Urself. It does look nice though, and the Game play is completely different from the rubbish that is the Final Fantasy serie, so those R good points.

I've heard rumours about online play for the Chronicles Game that's going to be released on the Wii, I hope that's true :) ....

I have final fantasy crystal chronicles and i beat it once and almost beat it a second time. In my opinion the game isnt as bad as so many people say it is. I was really sucked into it and even though there is almost no storyline the gameplay is really fun. But the last battle of the game was pretty unexpected since the boss came out of nowhere, though it was really fun to play it. I liked how you had to get these orbs and can combine them to make diferent magic in each level. There was also a good amount of variety in the different amount of characters and their euipment, and they made the clavats swords look awesome. But it was kind of annoying and repetitive going to the same levels over again, yet they did get harder and some parts were changed around each time. The bosses were amazing and huge, and they took just the right amount of time to kill them. So overall id give the game a 7.5/10. I'm SO excited for the new one coming out because im getting the Wii, and if its online its ganna kick ***.

Hmm? Actually I had the least amount of trouble with FFX. That game system was WAY to easy. It wasnt even a challange for me. I wish they would bring back the FF7 system because I like it. FF8 had a horrible system. I dont think I ever used magic in that game besides summonings. It was to much of a pain to get magic so I ended up just beating everything without it. Wasnt to hard. FF9 was cool. I dont remember to much about it since I never got to beat it because a supposed friend of mine stole it. *******s lucky he moved before I beat the crap out of him for it. I thought that's what made FFVII so fun, it didn't get extremely easy until the end, and Emerald Weapon was still pretty tricky :)
Also, finding all those materias - getting the materia levelups - take time. Any RPG is easy if you spend hours leveling up of random encounters.

ya ff 8 and 9 are awesome, 8 has AMAZING graphics and ff9 has really well developed characters in it. you should try to play tactics too if you havent yet.

Final Fantasy VIII - Is, undoubtely, the worst RPG I have ever played. It's an insult to the Final Fantasy series. They focused waaay to much on graphics and while the graphics do rock, everything else sucks. Even the soundtrack is bad for a Square game.

I thought FF8 was actually pretty good. No NOT because of the graphics. Mainly because of the Junction system. I liked the story and the gameplay too. While I thought the soundtrack could have been better I didn't mind it all that much either.

Well my friend actually let me borrow his PS2, and i dont know for how long because his brother might want it back. Well the main reason i wanted to borrow it was to play legend of dragoon since you cant play it on a modified ps1. But im going to ask my friends if i can borrow FF10 and 10-2. I never had the chance to play them fully so its going to be really fun.
