OMG i need serious help

I need to send pics from my camera to my computer, and to do that i have my USB cable, and i connect the camera in a PTP mode. But when i try to send lika 60 pics, or a movie (a really short one like 6 seconds) it disconnects and i can't do ****! I'm usin a Sony Cyber-Shot

Didn't your camera come with any software to install onto your computer?:confused:

Uh... it's like, I connect it, and it says "Sony Digital Still Camera" or something like that... Then a pop up shows and says "Choose an action" or something and it says "Scanner and Camera assistant" and "Word".. i click the first one and it says "this thing is here to help you to put your pics in your computer" and i clikc next then all my pics and movies show up and have like a box to tick it like yes or no, and then i click next, choose where to send the pics, and then it gets like to 3 pics or something and when it's going to download the video it says it disconnected...

Ah I have a similar problem.I know it sounds silly but I have to take out the usb wire connected to the computer and then put it back in really quickly.
I said it sounds silly didn't I but it seems to work:p It means you have a loose connection somewhere

How do you even do that?! I can't i mean, it's like 0% and automaticly it says "your camera is disconnected"... it's not like i at least get to see a 2 % or something ... ****!

Do you normally have problems with your USB outlet.
ie...With Joypads/joysticks and such?

No... I always send Music, Videos pics and stuff like that to my Cellphone and stuff...

Could then be a loose connection with your camera then Iam afraid.

did you try to do it from windows explorer?

Yup... Instead of disconnecting and stuff, It shows a prompt that says, "The component is not connected" or something like that

try it on a different computer... if it sill doesn't work then there's something wrong with your camera. You don't have a memory card reader?

It's definetly my computer, I've tried it in my GF's laptop and it worked just fine.

Try a different USB cable...if that doesn't work, Control panel, device manager...reload drivers from the CD your camera came with. Otherwise you might have a motherboard problem.
