Ever wanted to know how to use your PS3 six axis controller with a psx emulator?

Here's how:

1) Download this first;
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AMQJHYPN

2) Extract the archive.

3) Open up libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.10.1

4) Plug in your controller

5) Copy ps3sixaxis_en into C:\Windows\System 32

6) Click start, click run

7) Type into the run box: CMD

8) When the box pops up, type in ps3sixaxis_en

9) Open up control Panel

10) Go to game controllers

11) Press the PS (Circular middle button) of the controller.

12) Now go into epsxe (or whatever emulator)

13) Click Config, Gamepad, Port 1, Pad 1

14) Click on the drop down box and choose Dual analog

15) click on various controls and press the corresponding button on the PS3 controller for what you want the button to be.

Enjoy!

is there an extra step for vista or something? I've done everything and game controller shows the controller as status OK but if i try to calibrate or assign it to anything nothing happens when i push buttons/move analog sticks...

After step 11, click properites and click okay. That should solve your problem.

it works for my pc but only for navigating the regular stuff. It doesn't work with all of my emulators.

another helpful tip to know is http://www.electracode.com/4/joy2key/JoyToKey%20English%20Version.htm
with that you can use your Ps3 controller as a mouse which is nice you just need it runnin in the backround

Google is your best friend when it comes to it working on Windows 7. I had to use google and find the drivers for it to work. It's easy to find though, just follow the steps it says.
