Why don't coolroms go ahead add start adding GBA roms? I don't think they sell the games anymore cause of the DS.

GBA games are still widely available and DS can still play GBA games. GBA/SP can still be bought at any wal-mart and they recently released the GameBoy Advance Micro. I think they even are still releasing GBA games. Nintendo made statments when DS was released that it was not intended to replace the GBA, but co-exist with it.

Basically, Nintendo Corp still profits off these games, and would take legal action against anyone distributing them.

They don't profit off NES, SNES, or N64 games anymore, so they don't bother wasting their money trying to take legal action, but sharing GBA roms would mess with their profits and they'd get PO'd

I have heard rumors the when Nintendo Revolution is released you will be able to purchuse and download and play any rom from NES, SNES, N64 and even old Nintendo arcade games on an on-board emulator built into the Nintendo Revolution. If nintendo implements this I am curious to see if any legal action will be taken agaist rom sites that distribute these roms free, since nintendo would be able to profit off old nintendo games again.

The rumours R true, those systems will be emulated on the Revolution, besides that, it's also going to emulate the MegaDrive/Genesis and the TurboGrafX-16...

Nintendo has to license the MegaDrive and TG-16 Games first, otherwise it's not Nintendo getting the money for it but Sega and NEC.

Sega has no money at all so they can't even sue, same can be said for NEC, I haven't heard from them in ages, I guess they R pretty much broke as well :p.

Nah, there's nothing to worry about for now, Nintendo knows that there's gonna be a lot of angry people if they would do a thing like that. Would U buy a Revolution while U R ****ed at Nintendo?? Even Nintendo can't be stupid enough not to understand that ;)...

I couldn't blame Nintendo for trying to protect their copyrights. I'm sure alot of people would be mad, but I don't know if it would prevent anybody from buying a Revolution. Have you seen the controller for this thing, it looks so sweet:eek:

No matter what nintendo does, it won't affect me, cause I got all the ROMs I want, mostly thanks to all your full sets;)

I doubt nintendo would even try to shut down the sites cause it would be such a major legal hassle, and even if they did there are plenty of other ways to get ROMs off the internet other then just websites:)

Man, I love Nintendo... I got GBC a couple of years ago, and when GBA came and I thought GBC was dead, came Zelda, Oracle of Ages and Seasons. Awesome... I may even get a GBA instead of a DS in a week or so, because of Nintendo...

They make games for other systems now. I can only think of one Title off hand: Super Monkey Ball (SMB). They have 1 SMB game for GBA, and 2 SMB games for gamecube and are releasing a 3rd SMB games for GC in a couple months. I'm sure they make other titles too, I just can't think I any other then SMB at the momment.

lol Sega still makes Sonic games. They have a few Sonic games for Xbox,PS2 and Gamecube. Sega also made some Sega Smash Packs for PC. Comix Zone also came out for the GBA which is aslo owned by Sega.

Even I vote for VirtualBoy Advance because I burned myself a CD with one emulator for each and every console (REALLY hard configuring and testing work, thank you very much--damn bioses I had to find), and I chose VBA. Even Emulator-Zone.com rates it as the best GBA emulator:

Visual Boy Advance: 5 stars
Boycott Advance: 4 stars
NO$GBA: 3.5 stars
BatGBA: 3 stars
DreamGBA: 2.5 stars
RascalBoy Advance: 2.5 starsI know this thread is already finished, but I'm just saying what I can that is on topic.

I mean, in the department of anger, he is immune to being judged in a certain way, so long as the judge was spoken maturely. But he is sensitive in the department of anger about some things that users do wrong or n00bness, such as me starting N64-related threads in PC Gaming/Emulation instead of Console Gaming/Emulation, things that an user THINKS he or she is doing right or perfectly, but really putting an bad effect on things like CoolROM.com's thread organization like I did with that slight mistake. He perceives people in terms of their comprehension, though this is not as he would word it. Those who are the opposite of comprehensive he might call narrow-minded or even n00bish to judge him immaturely. Isn't that right, Kameo? IS THAT RIGHT?! It's wrong, isn't it?:(

I know exactally what your talking about. I, unfortunately, have a lot of them triggers. The thing I hate most of all, though, is people who cheat at things. I mean when your competing. Like playing basketball, for example, and the other person fowls you on perpose and thinks it's funny. That ruins the whole game, and happens quite a lot actually. You get my point though.

Iconoclast, I think you are right about what the PC/Gaming Emulation thread is for. Notice that you an I are both very intellectual, and think the same thing. Back where I come from, that usually affirms who is right. ANyhow, Kameo's explanation for what the thread is doesn't make sense. Just do what you think is right. It is your emulation thread, so as moderator, you get to interpret what it is for. You are the judge, not Kameo.Well, some say two great minds think alike. It took me a hell of a lot of time to believe Kameo. You know, I told the whole damn thing to Kameo twice, and he ignored my reasoning that Nintendo 64 emulation can go in PC Gaming/Emulation. Maybe it is this intellectuality in us, possibly a cause of learning disability, that gives us a different perspective of the forum's purpose. Kameo won't listen to the part of what I said that he can't argue with; he just replied and gave me more crap back as if he knew that I was wrong, which is a very, stupid, unintellectual way for him to perceive an argument. You are right, of course, like I said, we should think of a forum however we want. And until Kameo, maybe admin, completely beat the **** out of us what the purpose of the forum is in a long argument, I'll think of the forum however I want to think of it. To be honest, admin PM'd me and said he thought it was for emulating PC games. I really don't care anymore; forum names are just forum names. I'll start a thread wherever the hell I want until these forums are better named or proved their purpose, which I believe I just did to Kameo. His persistence and the only single point he proved to me was the reason I let him win. But I was passive and showed too much understanding of others who show no understanding to me. Once again, Kameo just ignored my part of the argument, pushing his. There are two parts of an argument: logic, and understanding. Kameo was not very understanding, so I lost hope in arguing about it with him anymore. Basically, he just likes to prove people wrong. Like I said, we all have our own disabilities somewhere. His logic was not superior, either, as it was clouded by anger and would have been corrected if he had not ignored everything I said in my argument like I didn't.

Maybe you guys shouldn't be talking about Kameo like this, especially when he's not replying to this thread (either because he's ignoring it or he hasn't seen it). It might start a big argument or something if, or when, he does see this. Those kinds of things are always bad for boards :(

On topic though, I must say that I LOVE VBA (VisualBoy Advance). Before it, I used to use DreamGBA or something at school (the only place I had access to the net). The compatibility for DreamGBA wasn't that good, but VBA seems to play everything gameboy! :DWell, we've already confirmed that VisualBoy Advance is the best GameBoy Advance emulator, by rating and user preference. This thread should be finished now.

It doesn't make a difference whether Kameo is reading this or not. Me and Kristaps were talking about him, and Kameo has the right to ***** at our thoughts if he wants. And if he chooses to ignore us, that's no reason for me and Kristaps to not have the right to discuss him. These aren't boards; these are forums. Whether this goes in General Chat or here, it exists in one forum or another. May as well be here. If he does see what me and Kristaps said, GOOD. Let him argue; I don't care. But I do know one thing, though, our opinions are none of your concern. I don't need you telling us what to do.

I really can't care less for what U people say about me, or think of me, I have more important things to do with my life than to worry about someone else's thoughts or findings :).

As for the not replying, sometimes I'm lazy, and I feel like not replying, but in the end, I believe I haven't ignored any of Ur PM's, from anyone. I just do not always answer to them the moment I read them, live with it ;).

P.S. You have to download the special download for the PSP version. You can't use the computer one.

Careful. You can if you want, but that can brick your PSP or something like that. You should PM Panda or start a thread on this if you really want to get the right downgrader.
