I'm torn between Goldeneye and Super Smahs Bros. cause they both had amazing multiplayer. Hours spent killing noobs with the golden gun. Donkey Kong and paintball cheats were awesome.

Iceman
03-16-2006, 02:41 AM
I liked Majora's Mask too. It's just that your not adult link*darn my fav.
You have a time limit which really bothered me, especially when I was at the last boss at a dungeon the time went out and Navi wasn't with you lol.
But it is a good game and challenging too like collecting all those masks.
But OOT was your first 3-D Zelda.

Elric
03-21-2006, 05:09 PM
For me its

1 Zelda: Ocarina of Time
This game was almost perfect.

2 WWF: No Mercy
The best wrestling game to date. The story line was decent and when it comes time for a wrestling game tournament with friends this is the one that gets fired up and played at my house. The CAW feature just makes it too good to let go and the play mechanics are still better (IMO) than anything else that has come out.

3 Perfect Dark. If you've played it you know why. If you haven't you're missing a great game.

4 Conkers bad fur day. Excelent game play with lots of variety in the single player game and good multiplayer games at the same time.

5 John Madden football- I spent countless hours playing this game with friends and at tournaments. I've loved it on every system and buy the new one every year. My girlfriend hates it with a passion and wishes J.M a horrible death.

My favorite Nintendo 64 game, well I do have more than one, 3 to be exact, in no specific order my picks are Mario 64, great game, colour and controls where AMAZING, enemys where too cool.
My second pick gotta be golden eye, I thought it great until I played perfext dark, it was tweaked just enough to make it a better experiance in multiplayer.
last of all a great party game is smash brother, that game was amazing the first time I picked up the Nintendo 64 control I loved it
couple good games that are fun but are not great or seem to be lacking on way or another WWF wrestling and turok

My favorite game on the N64 is Harvest Moon 64. Very cute game, and its the most challenging Harvest Moon game. Quite recomended.

Ja, Harvest Moon 64 is great!
It's kinda like Fable with a twist!
The game successfully creates six different aspects:
the ability to grow your own crops and make a better farm and whatnot AND
the ability to walk around the town, mountain, etc. and explore AND
you can get hiched and have some kid guy AND
there is four distinct seasons, each with their own events AND
you can play for as many years as you like AND
you can get drunk at the tavern every night! <= best, of course:D

It would be great if Natsume made a city version of Harvest Moon where you could choose a job and the civilization will be one of a modern city, rather than a small village, IT WOULD BE SO DANG KEWL!!:D

Back on the N64, I used to play this game waaaay into the wee hours of the night to do everything there is to do. I got to my fifth year before I stopped playing. Lucky for me, I found Harvest Moon 64's ROM and now I'm working on my 2nd year.:)

I retract my statment, I still hate Orge Battle and ugly beasts!
my hate of N64 Zelda games like master quest, specifically, is hereby retroactive as of now.....a lot (insert smily face here and lots of teeth)
Its kinda hard, looks a lot better than I remember it being
Its the second time Ive played it and even though it would play better...a lot, with one of those li-snak N64 controler converter which I dont have and that makes it tough to fight, ends up with my battles starting with my back turned most of the time, but since my gaming skillz have come a long way as of late my experiance is enjoyable enough with a PS2 controller 5 stars!

All those games you guys mentioned are sweet, like Goldeneye, Conker, Zelda (I've only played OOT), Mario 64, but what about Rush 2? I loved that game. Especially doing stunt and your friend is just about to land this trick that would get him a lot of points, but you crash into him and blow him up? That brings back memories. *goes and turns on N64 and plays Rush* :D

In no particular order, the following are just really great games: Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time, Kirby 64, Harvest Moon, Mario Kart 64, Super Smash Brothers, Banjo Tooie, Super Mario 64, Yoshi's Story, Bomberman, Glover, Mario Parties 1 & 2, and to a lesser extent, 3, and Paper Mario, and all to a lesser extent, but still good: Quest 64, Pokemon Snap, Pokemon Stadium, Shadowgate 64, Star Wars Episode 1: Podracer, and Virtual Chess.

Iconoclast
07-18-2006, 02:05 PM
I liked Majora's Mask the most. I just don't understand why everyone shat on MM but liked OOT better. When OOT comes out they're like OMG this must be the master N64 game. When MM comes out they're like Huh? I can't understand these people, why would they want to make a game better than OOT? And MM's better and they won't admit it for some Godly-controlled unknown reason.

Anyway, I can also say a few things about the other games.

FD, you liked Virtual Chess 64? Yeah, I did, too. But chess is kind of...nvm. Iconoclast, the number one chess player on CoolROM (until else proven) can beat all of the chess ROMs except for Virtual Chess 64. That guy must be a perfect chess player or something; he kicks arse.

Super Mario 64 was a damn good N64 game until you beat it. Once you beat the game, it's just so hard to like the game after that. Even if you start a new file, it's just not the same. It was better going through the castle, collecting stars, solving so many fun puzzles and stuff, not knowing where it all leads to until you've beaten the game and it's just not the same. I was thrilled by it when I played it.

Ocarina of Time...that was also good. For reasons I'm not going to try to explain, comprehensive, insane reasons, I thought MM was better. But OOT had a lot that MM didn't about Adventure. It was a very good adventure game.

GoldenEye...I liked it in the beginning. Multiplayer just ain't much fun for me, bombing, shooting, gagging. But single player was fun enough. I found out a lot of funny glitches in that game. When you're Tiny Bond and you duck below the pubic area of a guard that doesn't detect you and shoot a Grenade Launcher at his undergroin, he goes flying up in the air like Team Rocket's Blasting Off Again.

A lot of people out there hated Quest 64. I have an unusual taste for RPG games, though. Ah, but the monsters were menacnious on my patience. I don't like it so much anymore. The game was getting better once you reached Castle Brannoch, though, near the end of the game.

Mario Party was a ****ing good kids game, but not very fun in the later times of your life.

I can't think of anymore right now, but I have a bad memory, so that's not saying much.

I'm quite surprised by the fact that all of U name about the same 10 Games. Like none of U actually played a N64 Game and just look at each others list and then name some. The N64 had a lot more good Games than the few U guys R naming.

I have no idea how U people could have left great Games like Jet Force Gemini and ShadowMan out, they had one of the best ratings for the N64. Maybe U were too young or too PSX fed to understand, I have no clue. Fact is, U guys have missed a lot, a LOT....

Here R my favorites, in alphabetical order, I think :p.

Aidyn Chronicles - the First Mage.
Banjo Kazooie.
Banjo Tooie.
Beetle Adventure Racing.
Castlevania - Legacy of Darkness.
Command & Conquer 64.
Conker's Bad Fur Day.
Diddy Kong Racing.
Donald Duck - Quack Attack (Goin' Quackers for U US people :p).
Donkey Kong 64.
Extreme G.
Extreme G - XG2.
Fighter's Destiny.
Fighter's Destiny 2.
Gauntlet - Legends.
Glover.
Goldeneye.
Harvest Moon 64.
Hybrid Heaven.
Jet Force Gemini.
Kirby 64 - the Crystal Shards.
Lylat Wars (Star Fox 64 in the US).
Magical Tetris Challenge.
Mario Golf.
Mario Party 1 & 2.
Mickey's Speedway Racing.
Mischief Makers (AKA Go Go Troublemakers).
Mystical Ninja 1 & 2.
Ogre Battle 64 - Person of Lordly Caliber.
Perfect Dark.
Pilot Wings 64.
PokeMon Stadium 1 & 2.
Quest 64.
RayMan 2 - the Great Escape.
Rocket - Robot on Wheels.
ShadowMan 64.
SnowBoard Kids 1 & 2.
StarCraft 64.

Turok 1 & 2 & 3.
Wetrix.
Zelda - OoT & MM.

Well, simply because I haven't played all those games. I was only saying the ones I liked best. We all have our own opinions.

But as I've said before, I have a bad memory. You're reminded me of some other games.

Super Smash Bros. is the funnest fighting N64 game.

Banjo-Kazooie was very...memorial. You forget the feeling of addiction and craving the game's future when you used to play it when you were a kid after you've played Banjo-Tooie, another damn good RPG game. In fact, there's a mystery that Rare puzzled the world with called the SNS Mystery, a secret relation of secret items used between Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie. I read an article on it...it's very interesting. Says Banjo-Kazooie has six secret eggs and an ice key. Two of the eggs are GameShark cheat debuggers that you can only get by cheating. If you even touch those two eggs, you'll never solve the mystery. It's a trick. The other four eggs and the ice key are used to open a transformation room door where the game locks up, you swich cartridges and Banjo-Tooie starts, keeping what you did from Banjo-Kazooie somehow in memory, and something special happens. These two games were just great.

I forgot the other games you said.

All right. I better stop posting now.

I was under the impression a platformer was a game that was on multiple consoles, like Tak and the power of Juju. RPG just means Role Playing Game. Some people say it is wehere you play the role of any multiple characters, but it is more than that. It has a lot of meaning among a lot of people. I would say Banjo Tooie is an RPG too, but Final Fantasy is more of an RPG, if you get my meaning....

Okay, I'll try it. I played one on Xbox, as my friend has a modded one and rents games only to rip them. Anyhow, I was like, cool a squirrel and some tediz, tehy'd be cool, right. I got my cool Tedi that looked like Secret Squirrel, and I had so much fun as I realized that my katana could turn the squirrels into blood filled water ballons. Oh, how they popped. I was surprised as hell though when instead of dying, the squirrel's heads just shot off followed by a rain of crimson.

Anyhoo, I will try that as soon an me an harger finish netplay.

No dude, a Game that appears on multiple consoles is a multi platform Game. Platform refering to consoles.

Platformers R Games like Mario Bros, which set the standard of this genre with Super Mario Bros. Other Games like it, on the N64, R Games like Donkey Kong, Banjo, Conker, Rocket, RayMan, Tonic. Those R platformers.

Zelda is described as a RPG too sometimes, but it is not, it's a action-adventure Game.

Ask Nintendo, they'll tell U all about it on their forum at www.nintendo.com ;)...

Lol, well no ones scaring me, but DK is worth the money. I think I spent 80 bucks on it( Including that extra plugin pack thing ), and it took forever to play. Definitely long( Which is good. ), it has good graphics, and even better gameplay. It's also not too hard to see what bananas you need, because it tells you.
