When you say upgraded do you mean you put a new processor in your pc but didn't format and reinstall windows? Cause even though sometimes you can get away without doing it, it is recommended you reformat your harddrive and install a fresh copy of windows any time you put a different processor in your pc. Otherwise some programs might have problems.

Delete or move the configuration files to somewhere else and see what
happens. Maybe the emulators are configured to use something your
new computer cannot do.
I can't run anything when I move the harddrive from my old computer
to new one and vice versa (My PCs are different like night and day).
Setting something (resolution) different in the cfg files might help too.

Thanks Tµee, good response.

If that doesn't work you may need to uninstall or delete the folders and reinstall them.

I assume you're using Windows XP.

You may also need to download specific installers for XP or run in compatibility mode.

You may need to try different emulators. ZSnes and Gens work in XP.
