Hey, let's find out!!
If you will, please post the average bps/kbps/mbps your connection is.

I have dial-up, at an average speed of 5 kbps on a 56k modem.
(That's 56 kilobits, so it actually does make sense.)

Internet connection fun fact: The slowest modem available to the public when the internet just had become public ran at 300 bps. I think that is true. If not, then slap me and set me straight.

Thats not all true, unless I misunderstand you. Dude I live in the "Booneys" in the middle of nowhere in Kentucky, and DSL/cable is more common than any other connection type, and I'm nowhere near a "campus".

By the way my Speed is DSL, 3Mbps/384Kbps stream behind a router which is now my bee-otch I have finally figure out how to hack into it! and my ISP allows it! (no, I am not saying what I did to it, or what ISP i use, to protect my privacy :))

No, he included a ">" mark, which means internet over DSL/Cable. So you kinda misunderstood him.

I have a wireless connection; that's all I know.

I hate wireless, wireless sucks. I have Comcast Cable. Which rocks. pretty fast. Although the highest I've ever been on was a T1 at my old school. That got slow anyways after the district restricted bandwith and all these kids started streaming video an playing flash games. Killed anyhting close to speed.

You better make sure you're secure, it is not that hard for someone near you to steal your bandwidth if not.

As for security, I know little about this. I have heard that wireless is insecure, but my dad handles the hardware here.

The bst way to find out is to get a loptop w/ wireless and try to steal your own home connection with it. There are shows that show you how easy this is to do. You should watch one, just to know; for your own security.

Watch "TheBroken" episode # 1, get it here:
www.thebroken.org

and see what I mean. Just thought your should know, for your own security. ;)

In fact, you may as well say my parents must enjoy putting limitations on my PC or something. Really stupid. When I'm out of this damn life, I'll get myself a new PC and stuff. A laptop I don't know about...I don't travel places. I'm not an outside person. But, other than cost, I guess there isn't much disadvantage.

I have a wireless laptop, but I don't have a home network. There are some other networks in range, and I have tried once to connect to them out of curiosity, but none of them would respond to me. No packets for chaos master. ;_;

For them to connect to you, they must have an open "access point" for you to connect to. Or a unsecure one> Most people will buy wireless and plug it up. and just let set itself up. NOT that great an idea especially if you are using a LINKSYS component or something. Wireless modems and routers can ususally be connect to from a stranger by using a linux cd and simply typing in Admin as the user name and password. I know I did it yesterday.(the owner allowed me to)

Also, did you watch the videos i mentioned in the earlier post (www.thebroken.org)?
Watch the Videos!!!
Except for the free pizza for life part (I did it and it worked like 11 times), they are right up your alley guys. I urge you watch them and the other shows on www.revision3.com, and support us! people need some of the great info we have to offer FREE, you just dont know it yet.:D
