Our worst fears have come true kameo is an admin for rom request and shes gotten like 8 threads closed so far.

Actually, it was me who closed all those threads under the ROM request forum :(. So if you want to blame someone, blame me ;). Anyways, I made Kameo a mod for our ROM request section because of her knowledge in emulation. Her strict attitude also plays a role in enforcing the ROM request rules, which compliments my (niceness?). I know she may seem mean at times (sometimes a little too mean ;)), but I believe Kameo is trying to do her job to the best of her abilities. I am sure if you guys just follow the forum rules, she will be just as happy as the rest of us. Thank you guys for your co-operation.

I might be a ***** from time to time and "boss people around" but I'm really not that bad. It's not that I want U guys to not be able to obtain the Game U seek for, what ever system it is on, I just want CoolROM to stay out of trouble. I guess none of U would want to have their site closed down because of some illegal activities of others, would U?? I guess it is nothing but fair when I enforce the rules as they R, we didn't create them, the IDSA/ESA did. All we can do is live by them because if we do not CoolROM might get closed.

Personally I can't care less what systems U guys trade ROMz or ISOz for, I've got about all the English GBA ROMz, every English Nintendo DS ROM and about 250 PSX ISOz, so I can't say I'm not doing illegal things myself. Hell, I'm pretty much a pirate like U guys R, I just think it's not fair to involve CoolROM in the activities of spreading software like this simply because it is illegal.

Now don't start to tell me that all emulation is illegal, most companies don't care about the older Games because they R no longer making money from it. It is the Games that R on the shelves of stores that they do care about, so if U can buy it in some store don't request for it here, I guess that's fair towards the Game developers and towards CoolROMs.

If U want to trade stuff that's not to be requested then keep it off the boards, use Ur I.M. program or PM each other, hell, even start a underground trading scene if U want, I really don't care, just don't do it in public. If U see someone requesting GBA Games, PSX Games, NDS Games or what ever else isn't legal and U want to help that person out send him a PM saying that U want to help him out by uploading the file for him or sending him a link to it. I'm pretty sure U guys R inventive enough to be able to start such a underground scene, just keep it underground and do not get the boards involved in it ;)...
