Okay, well I was just wondering how much space you guys have. Just post your hard drive's capacity. If you have more then one, then say so, and put the total capacity along with the number of HDDs.
I have one hard drive. It has 320 GB.

Is this thread to brag because you have a big HDD?
I have one right now at 225 GB
jambog has a bunch, 616GB:

I couldn't care less about hard disk space. It's stupid. All I want is a fast PC. How the hell can you guys care about having the hard disk with the most disk space? It's pointless. Try as I might, I can only use up 27 GB of disk space. I have 38 GB of disk space total. I don't care if they go back to making hard disks with 15 GB disk space. Nobody should ever manage to use that much. I just want speed.

I agree with Iconoclast about caring who has the biggest hard disk is stupid. Yes I do!
However, I plan to use my HDD space and eventually create a massive archive of games on it, and I will get what I can on 225GB. I know many of you already have such a thing, but I have a slow connection, so I will take longer to achieve this goal. I have a thing for making massive archives/museums about things I like.

I have 2 250GB disk in my PC, one 250 GB external and two 40 GB disks I'm not using anymore, that's 830 GB in total :).
Speed is great, true, but I'm not one who likes to burn things, I like to be able to acces it right away :)....

CM, This isn't because I have a big HDD. As you can see Jambog, Kameo, and Panda have more capacity then me. I'm planning on getting another 320 GB HDD next year though. Iconoclast and CD said that the space is wasted, but I'm already down to 30 GB left. I gotta delete some things. I might get another hard drive with the size of 160 GB.

Movies, music, ROMs, Computer games, ISOs, Anime, DVD rips, and a million other things. That's why I'm gonna get my computer updated. So I'll have more room. I can't wait until blu-ray disks are out though( Or are they already? ), because I'm gonna need them to back up some things. I don't want to get a virus, that would really suck.

80GB internal and 160GB external making a total of 240GB (but remove about 10GB for the file allocation tables on both drives)

I have a 250 Gig in 1 PC and a 180 in the other. I also have 2 Externals that I use. Both are 180 Gigs. I back everything up on DVD though. I couldnt possibly fit all my stuff on a couple hard drives.

Isn't external more expensive then internal?

Yeah usually they are more expensive.

If you don't want to drop a whole lot of cash on an external drive, what you could do is buy an enclosure for an internal and use it as an external. Enclosures are usually only about $30 or so.

Lol, well actually I have 60GB left right now, and I'm gonna have 10GB left after I download that torrent. It's taking a while though.

Who says you can't fill up that much space? All I have is an 80 and a 40 gig. I filled up the 80 gig in about two days. After burning a bunch of stuff to disc so I could use it again, I played things a little more cautiously to keep from filling it up so fast. So it took a whole week to fill it up the second time.

That would probably happen to me if I had a high speed connection...with dial up comes a need to pick and choose what to download more cautiously.

I had an 80 GB, 11 used up by windows and my NTFS crap, as I don't like FAT32 much, I have like 30GB full of South Park Family Guy and Full Metal Alchemist episodes, as I have all the South Parks and FMAs, but I am missing Season 5 of Family Guy. I got like 10GB of various programs, and about 7GB with various ROMs and other games, so that leaves me with a bit less than 12 GB. I want to get a 1TB drive, when I get money that is. They are like $800 or something. I just hope they aren't like the 1019 memory card for gamecube that likes to wipe itself so I lose all my save files.

Why would you like that much? I mean it is good space, but what are you going to put in it? Unless you're planning on making it into a DVD archive. I doubt you'll need that much space. I think 500 GB is good enough for me ATM, but you never do know with those blu-ray disks coming out.

I've got two 250GB on my NAS unit, 200GB in my XBox, 200GB in my main rig, 5GB in my burning station with a 100GB USB2.0 Drive attached to it. 0.5 GB in my phone and 1GB in my DS
Grand total - 1006.5GB ...

Heh, quite a bit of stuff you have there. :D
I was thinking of buying a new drive for my computer. Right now I'm probably gonna get a 160 GB one, but I'm thinking of getting another 320 GB drive in a year or two.

Disk space is so ridiculously cheap there's no reason not to buy more if you're short on space. Can get internal storage for under a $1 a GB now.

Yeah, terrabytes are nice to have....
I have a Nyko 1019 (64MB) Gamecube memory card, and it's half full and it has never wiped itself. Maybe yours was defective.

I know what you mean. Look at this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822101022) deal I found. Pretty nice, and external too. This (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822136003) one is internal, but it's cheaper.

Why is external an advantage? Both are great deals though, and I'll probably buy one of those, so keep this post there! Snargle. That is so I can find this post later with search. I'm pretty sure I'll be the only one who uses snargle to find things.

With external you don't have to take your computer appart. You'll probably need to make/buy a case for the internal drive if you can't fit it into your computer.
What's snargle?
