I thought this would be a useful thread to alert us mods if there are any threads that are being spammed that we missed. If any of you guys would like to report thread that you would like to be closed, we'll look into it. No spamming here. Don't post threads unless they really are being spammed.

Mods can also alert other mods here. For example there are some threads that have been going on for too long, and it's all off-topic. Just request that the thread would be closed, and we'll explain why or why not we will.

If everyone just moderates his/her forum all the spam will be noticed, atleast IMO.

And I'm not going to close a thread because someone else requests for it, I'll close it if I think it needs to be closed, not because someone else wants it....

You might miss a thread. I mean what if a person's thread is spammed, and he's mad. I know enough threads that are being spammed, and a certain moderator( Not you Kameo ) won't close almost any of them. I'll post them later, but I'm in a hurry.

Okay, since General Chat has a high amount of posting traffic, I thought I would explain the criteria of spam there that I will put into effect starting now. GC is supposedly for talking whatever you want, just like the description says. Also, chat is sometimes held at a rapid pace, where the posts are relatively small in size. This might make spam hard to define, so this is what this post is for. Threads that you might not find important to yourself might be important to others, and are okay. For example, a thread about collecting pennies might seem worthless to you, but it still is okay. Also, I like to let posting get just a little off topic for a short time, to make posting there seem less strict. For example, in a thread about food, the conversation might sway to cooking for some reason. I suppose it is okay if a couple of posts, in part or in whole, were spent finishing that note before continuing with the main conversation. If the other conversation persists, the other users must make a new thread to speak about that or have their posts deleted. You might not think this happens, but very frequently do users get off topic, which is why I'm being a little lenient with it to help give our users some leeway and making their stay in General Chat more comfortable.

What is spam/unacceptable:

- rapidly posting nonsenical or meaningless things on a thread
- being too off topic for a prolonged time
- flaming, disrespecting users(non teasingly), bullying, cyberstalking, etc.
- reposting the same message over and over
- starting fights

What is not spam (acceptable):

- Talking about unpopular views or subjects
- Just talking about unimportant things
- expressing your views (as long as they are not intended to hurt anyone)
- chatting

If you have suggestions for this list, PM me.

I will put these laws into effect as of now.
Mind you General Chat is a big place, and if you help me out, it would be nice.

Who's that? Mind you that I am the one whose decision is final, well it's admin's is actually, but I am a moderator and I am the one who will perform the action, but I won't do something because you tell me to. I will have to think whethter the suggested action will be taken.

I'm not telling you to do anything. It is your choice. I just put this so that if someone has a problem with a thread, they can talk about it here. I'll get back to you on those threads though.

I kind of don't like this thread. For the most part, this seems to be just another thread of an excuse to raise our post count. But, OK. We should really have the users send private messages to the moderator of the forum they want the thread closed in. We should have that kind of thing in a rules thread. And if they are not going to read the rules, why would they even read this?

Still, you guys go ahead. But I think you are spamming.
