If it's one department of education I'm not interested in, it's languages. Why take Spanish, French, ****, when I could be taking science and math classes that have actual quantitative things to teach? I'm all English over here. I'm probably never going to learn another speakable language.

I want to learn Japanese and Russian, because they are better at math :P. see Iconoclast, languages can help with math. Let's do math in russian!

Doesn't the education system require you to take a second language class...? Same here, I like science and math more than language. My Spanish 1 class was so dang easy last year. I didn't have to do anything, because it just came to me. Plus, most freshmen wanted to get my teacher because he was lenient and nice. So now I'm in Spanish 2. My spanish friend took Spanish 2 last year, and now he got into Spanish 3 Honors, so he signed up to this "Spanish Honor Society." Although, he tells me he just signed up so he could get out of school for the feild trips. I kinda wish I had taken Italian, but meh.... My school offers Spanish, Italian, and French classes, and you have to take one for your first two years, then you can either continue, or choose an elective instead. The only language I would be interested in learning would be Japanese, just because. It's a nice language....

Fromn what I understand, Italians can understand every word out of a spanish speaker's mouth, while spanish people can't understand Italians. It is pretty funny seeing the spanish people get so upset. Truthfully though, I don't like any of the romance languages. (Spanish, French, Italian, etcetera)

Neither do I, but they are kinda easy to learn. I edited my post, if you want to know.

Over here, however, I see no such limitation. These are my requirements for graduation:

4 full years of English (must include Communications)
3 semesters of Physical Education/Health
2 years of Math
World History and U.S. History (I don't like Social Studies...much less History.)
I think it was 2 years of science.I think that's it....

I can't tell you. Those that know Giberish only pass it on to very close friends, and their children. It is a language of secret.
