I have decide to start a collection of Arcade Roms, and I need help along the Way!
Any Information to help me out is greatly appreciated :)
So Far, I have Installed the Following For Arcade Emulating:
*Emu Loader Frontend ver.484.2.0 (latest version from EmuLoader Site)
*MAME ver.0106b (latest version on MAME site)
*Official and Non-Offical MAME Bios Files (all I could find, Put them in my ROMS folder)
*About 180 MAME Roms (I've tested about 50 so far, all working)
*TV-Out (S-Video to my 32" TV, from My GeForce 6600 card, works perfectly)
*PlayStation2/N64 Controller Adapter (both controllers tested with MAME, work perfect)
Here's my first question:
Can I take Screenshots in MAME?
-My EmuLoader Frontend has the a screenshots window, and you can load a screenshot for each game, But I dont know how to take them in MAME!
How can I get these Screenshots?

Couldn't you just use Prt Scrn?
Couldn't you just use Prt Scrn?He can, but it's also possible to bind a key to take screenshots for you just by using the in-game TAB menu, finding the SCREENSHOTS option (forgot exactly which part it's in, but it shouldn't be too hard to find) and just bind it to a key. The screenshots should save in the screenshots folder in your MAME directory.
EDIT: The default key is F12.
I'm not sure. If I did, I assume it will go to the Clipboard for Use.
then I'l have to figure out what format to save the shot as, I guess.
But as you know from the past, I'm new in the screenshot biz.
I just though maybe sombody might know of a better way of doing it, or if Mame has a command or hotkey for screenshots, or if there was a site to get them from, or whatever. Because I sure dont know :)It's not that hard with MAME .106. Way before this, you pretty much had to use Prnt Scrn.
Anyway, try F12 and if that doesn't work, go into the tab menu and bind it yourself.

OK, I have another question for you guys:
I am sure you guys are familiar with the common thing about when a MAME game wont run. YOu click to open it, it opens the command prompt window, and fails to load, and the window closes.
Here is my problem:
When this happens, my command prompt window closes so fast, I cant even read it, so I dont know what kind of problem the game had while trying to load.
I have already tried turn off the "close on exit" setting for the command prompt, and it doesnt help in MAME. It still opens and closes so fast I dont know what the command prompt said!
My question:
How do I get around this? Is there an option in MAME to stop it from closing the window automatically? or ANY other trick to help me find out what the command prompt window said?

OK, My brother in law just showed me the audit wizard, it helped me out a good bit. It shows me which files are "missing" needed to run the game. Now I just gotta find them.
So ,aybody know where to find some CHD files? i got some torrents, but no seeders...

Is that helping? It's seeded, last time I checked.
