OK everybody I am fixing to ask a question. But first, let me say, that I have never known how to do this, and feel dumb for not knowing, and just never wanted to sound stupid asking it.I know somebody knows how to do it; i've seen some of you do it. But I gotta know so I am asking now. :)
Let me try to explain what I need to know.
When you put a link to something in a post, how do you do "that thing", whare when you see the post it just shows like "a phrase" instead of an underlined URL.
Example:
Say I posted a note recommend a site about nintendo.
I want the note to say:
"To see the nintendo site, try looking here."
- and you can click on where it says try looking here and it will open the site
Instead of typing a post that says something:
"To see the nintendo site, go to www.nintendo.com"
Basically I want to hide the link and replace it with words/phrase. Understand?
So, who knows how to help me?;)

I'm still confused. I don't know what you mean.
I'm still finding out more about CoolROM, myself. I've attempted to look at some Javascript files within the site to try and find out how to find other user's passwords and stuff! Whew, I gave up on that. But I am currently looking into trying to upload a file larger than the original file size limit. So far, no luck. Damn you, VBulletin!
But, did you mean you want to link text to a URL without it being underlined or without the mouse cursor changing or what?

Oh, yeah, I was thinking that's what he meant, but I doubted it because I thought he already just did it in his example.
DarthBrady, when you're editing a post, there should be a button at the top...a globe of planet Earth with a chain under it...click it after you've selected the text you want to hyperlink. You'll know it's the right button if you hover your mouse over it long enough and it says "Insert Link". Type in a URL or file to link to, and click OK.

http://www.google.com
Type whatever's in your Address Bar when you're at the URL you want to link the text to.

Like this (http://www.coolrom.com)? Oh, and Icono also managed to get my account locked because someone has tried to log into my account with the wrong password more than 5 times ;).
It basically goes like this:
[ URL = Your URL Here ] Text Here [/URL] (I added the extra spaces so that this won't show up as a VB code).

Yeah, that's the HTML way to do it. I don't use an HTML editor; I use that other editor...what's it called, full SYSYSIG or something like that?
But yeah, that's the other way to do it.
All right. I want you to know, if I ever did find out someone's password, I WOULD log into their account and view private things, but I would NEVER modify/delete anything. I promise...not that I'll ever succeed. But I just want you to know I'm not up to anything all that bad. Except, perhaps, the attachments thing. Oh, I'm bored, if no one's going to request avatars or post N64 emulation glitches, I got nothing better to do.

I'm probably never going to crack any passwords, either. Open this file with Notepad, and you'll know what I mean!

Yep. Good luck with whatever you are trying to achieve :)....I see. Very funny; I'm not that naive.
Uh, you aren't by chance rather annoyed/angry at me, now, are you?
...Right. Then, you must be thinking, what do I gain from cracking passwords? What good does it do to me; what will I acheive from it that'll do me any good? As I have said before, I do this kind of stuff when I'm bored. I have nothing better to do at times like this. So, if I ever do get somewhere with this, I will not do anything negative in anyway to CoolROM or its users, like I have already promised. We both have our own tastes for things to do, and please try not to look for a reason why that's a bad thing.

Oh just a heads up, you could also do it this way;
:D (coolrom.com/forums/index.php) <---- It's pretty much the same thing except that you use a smiley. Or you can do it with an image, like my signature. It's a little more complicated though;
[u r l=YourURL][i m g]YourIMG[/ i m g][/ u r l]
Without the spaces though^^
