I was wondering if anyone here has ever received a money order from western union? The thing is, Someone sent me an email saying th ewould buy my item for a certain amount of money and I agreed. Then I get a email from wester union (not from a @westernunion addy though) saying that the money order is on hold until the tracking number is received. Is this how the process works? also the western union logo looked very very low quality, can't even read the "fastest way to send money" part. And it had dollor bill signs spinning around the logo on the sides.

Can anyone help me with this? I feel like its a scam.

It may be a scam becouse. Companies have high quality logo. If it's low quality it's fast-made. And what item?

Yea its probably a scam I would'nt send the item until you got the money and not a second sooner.

That's a pretty suspiscious email. I would recommend calling/visiting/emailing Western Union to check if they are the ones who sent it or if it is a scam.:)

Yeah it could be a scam so I am being extra careful atm. lol The item is my psp cus no one bought it off of ebay for the price I wanted. :(

But yeah, I never send off anything until I get my payment first so.. This person is gonna have to go under some investigation. :)

I wouldn't even send it when you got the money order. Make sure it wasn't cancelled or something and you can convert it to cash. Once you have green legal tender in hand, you can send out whatever it is your selling.

Another way to do it is to send it, but instruct the people to hold it at their nearest office to the destination until you give them confirmation of payment. I don't know how to go about it, though.

sounds like a possible scam to me.

Its probably a good idea to email Western Union about it, maybe even send them a attached copy of the email you recieved. If it is a scam, It would be wise to report the said scammer before he can rip you or anybody else off.
