View Full Version : VBA Link 1.8.0 not compatible with 1.7.2 saves?

I have a pokemon firered game save from a VBA 1.7.2. I downloaded the VBA Link 1.8.0 but the saves aren't compatible ._. Is there a VBALink that's compatible with 1.7.2 saves?

Why not try Ctrl+S to save? Then when you open VBALink, just press Ctrl+L and choose the save file. Hope that helps. :)

Nope doesn't work. Game freezes soon as I load the save file.

Did you try moving the .sav file and opening it with VBALink, or just the .sgm file?

I tried hitting ctrl+L and loaded the save state. Not sure what you mean by moving the .sav file.

Ok I managed to get it working.. but now I have another problem. Everytime I try to link up it confirms there's a connection then says there was a communication error and to turn my gba off and on.

Use VBA Link 1.7.2 instead ;) ....

how did you get it to work because i have the same problem and i trid everything but it doesnt work at all
