are the roms safe to download? ive been looking for a site to backup my games and they all have viruses/spyware etc. i need somewhere that doesnt give me things that harm my computer.

I have had no reports of spyware or viruses from this site or its downloads from my virus protector thingie (McAffe.) I would say this is defintely a good site to back up your games.:D

ROM files, by themselves, are safe, but any web site, including ours, can bundle spyware in the zip fies. So make sure you download them from a good source, such as CoolROM.com! :P

so its a 100% chance my computer wont be infected? or theres still a small chance?

I think its safe for you to download any of the files coolrom provides. I have downloaded files from coolrom.com and none of them were infacted with viruses or spyware.

This is the absolute ONLY site I trust as far as emulation goes. There's only one other one I have downloaded from, and it was for GBA games... don't remember where though. This site has it all though.

This site is great but the next best site i would have to say would be poweremu.net they have alot of stuff no one else has. And ive gotten many files from it none of witch had spyware.
