What is your opinion on the word "noobs" or "noob"? I think anyone who uses it regularly just does so to make themself feel superior in some way. For the most part, the people who use that kind of word are the people that randomly insult others.

Lol, I don't use it to insult anybody. I only use it in Runescape when I call people that are ovbiously better than me( VERY high level players ) noobs. It's fun to see them over-react.

I try to refrain from using it in text, and have never spoken it aloud in my life. It is, when you get right down to it, a meaningless insult. People use it for everything nowdays. :rolleyes:

Usually they just laugh so then I make interesting conversations, but none of them ever got offended. They just thought that I was somewhat of a moron. It's still fun though. :D

It's a *******ization of the word "newb" and is widely used for insults. If you call someone a noob, chances are if they've ever played an online game, they'll get upset at you. With the word "newb", not so much.

Some people were mean/distrustworthy in the old version, too. I've played the game since 2002, and it started out okay and the people in it got dumber, meaner, and greedier. I still have a fortune in it, but that's only because of investments. I sometimes check runescape.com/forums to check out the prices on things I own. My Santa hat has gone from 2 million, when I bought it, to what now, 16m? It's insane. Essence, now "pure" essence, has gone up nearly threefold, and I have several million in note form. My blue and green masks are worth more than all my armor combined. I get richer without doing anything, yet I'm definitely not going to go back to the game for a number of years.
