No release date but they did say it would dual release with the new zelda.

They say Q4 2006.I'm reading what they got on it and aparently it will play gamecube disc as will as its own. there also seem like there is a thing you buy so it will play dvds

So it has backwards capability. Good. Doesn't the Xbox 360 not have backwards capability? Or was it the PS3 that revoked it?

They are both have backwards compatible, you just have to get updates from xbox live for most of the older xbox games to work on the system, and even then alot of the older games still don't work on the system.

Xbox 360 has emulation I think, so it doesn't really have the original Xbox guts in it. Xbox 360 peeps are working on getting more and more Xbox games supported on the 360. The popular ones (Halo, GTA) are already supported, as well as some less-popular ones. I think there's a list somewhere. But most of the 360 effort is going towards developing games and stuff.

ok i just read this there "Similar to its use as the Nintendo DS Browser, the Opera web browser will be included with the Wii.[31][32] The web browser will be saved in Wii's Flash ROM (allowing access within seconds), and will support JavaScript. In addition to functioning as a web browser, Opera on Wii will serve as a layout engine to be used for web-based applications."


so does this mean I can use it just like my comp?

I don't think so. I am assuming it will be more like xbox live, where you can browse the web for Wii related things.

Or maybe it would be like PSP. It said it would function as a web browser. I may get a high-speed wireless thingiemabob (my mom wants wireless for some reason) so that I may partake of the online abilities of the Wii possibly.

The Wii is expecte to be around $250, so it will probably be the only console I could afford, and would also want to afford.

Even better for me, because my 'cube is broken, so it will be like buying a replacement but with better things.

According to a rumor, Wii will be released on October 2nd. That's pretty early, but according to another somewhat reliable rumor, it will be released in November, so you can't know until Big N tells us.

No, what I meant was that the System and the game are going to be released on the same day, seperately.

BUT BUT BUT I am not too interested with the games on offer yet for the Wii. Sure SSBB, but where's the SUBSTANCE? Okay, Zelda, but what else? Also, there is at least a couple of movie games coming out upon release. Movie games on a system's release never appealed to me. You gotta put your best foot forward, right? Not having some Ant Bully game about (yet another) animated movie that will be forgotten in two months known as what you started with. Or maybe I'm not correct at all.

But the lightgun is nice, I just hope they make it more resembling a real pistol (with goofy colors and stuff to show it's not real) and not resembling one of those things you use to light candles with. Imagine a Wii SMG or shotgun. Now that would be nice. Of course, if the games could support you dual weilding Wii Zappers (holding one in each hand), that would be simply awesome.

Okay, Zelda, but what else?will theres a new Fire Emblem, some Mario game(i don't like it but others will), A new FF, A new Metroid game, and there are other I can't remember. but these are just the know titles ther could be more coming out shortly after its release. and much more in the future

but it does have some logic in it, I mean it be a great Idea. it would have to look so cartoony as the first. maybe it could be more realistic.
