OK i have no idea how to setup MAME...

well it looks like alot of people use mame but when i go to the site to download it i see binaries and sources and i dont know what to download so i need a step by step giude to setup mame. basiclly i just want to run SF3:3rd strike and MvC.

:confused:3rd strike is unemulatable, but the link in my sig includes a working version of MvsC, but it's mainly for online play. Try my packet if you're feeling lucky (and you want to play Kaillera), but otherwise get MAME32 .107 HERE (http://emulator-zone.com), it's uber-easy to set up.

If you still want to play SFIII: TS, look into Chankast. It has a working version of the game, along with MvC2.

Also, make sure you get the Windows GUI version of MAME, not the commandline version.
