Ok I was downloading a file, but I had to get offline to make a phone call. When I disconnected the net it decided that the download was done when it is no where even close to being finish. :'( Why is that?

i think i understand.... it happens sometimes to me, it will say it is finished but it just decides to stop. ill DL a 5mb file, and at 2mb it will say its done....then ill get some stupid corrupted message....i think its a crappy dial up thing. is that what you meant?

Kind of only it did it when I disconnected the internet to use the phone. I should of let you guys know I think I figured it out. I just have to pause the download before I disconnect the internet.

oooh i get it now. but isnt that kind of a given though? i dunno, maybe i just know a little more than the average joe. (no offense)

Eh I just took for granted that the program would realize the fact that the internet had been shut off and that the download had been completed. Obviously I was wrong.

but anyway something is wrong....I´ve used dial up with dap and no problems...maybe the version.

yeah, DAP is pretty crappy. toss it. I use Internet Download Acclerator. Works great with dial-up and broadband alike.

for me...I do not have to use accelerator...I have free download manager programme....it saves any progress of files that I download..even if interinet suddently disconnected...I can continue downloading during next connection
maybe im out of your point. :nono: ..but this may solve part of this problem..

my boss uses a downloader app that is very nice.... I don´t kown it´s name but the icon is like 3 green arrow tips pointing to the right (>>>)

Lol, it sucks now that megaupload has modifided itself. But it was good!
