Why don't you just download a already patched version of the game, or better yet if it came out in english just download that rom. I'm sure you can find the patched rom or english version somewhere.......*cough rom request then look at the stickies. Then click on the system its for in there. cough*

Did you look in the sticky like I told you? Any game there is already patched. I have no idea how to patch things, so Id say you might as well see if you can find the patched version in the sticky. Id go with the torrent download...<.< >.>
Ah I see....I wasn't sure if it had come out or not. Since you know the games came out in a weird order in the US.

Simple. Put the rom and the patch in the same directory as Snes9x or Zsnes (I assume you're using one of them) and make sure the patch and the rom has the same name. This will only work if you're only using one patch, though.

For an example, if the rom is named FF5.smc name the patch FF5.ips

Or you can go here. I uploaded the translated rom there.

Enclosed is also Lunar IPS a very easy to use patching tool that works for NES, SNES and GBA roms (haven't used it with other rom types).

Well, it must be .smc behind it, sometimes it's something else like .fig, but it's gotta have some ending!
If the name of the ROM is Final Fantasy V (J) then name the patch Final Fantasy V (J).ips
It should work, otherwise download snestool or winIPS and patch the rom.

I have no idea why it isn't working. It might be your emulator. What emulator are you using?

http://www.coolrom.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1798 Go there and download that file. It's the first torrent. Then click on the SNES file and then unselect everything you dont want then select what you want. There should be a button that either says unselect all or one that says select that you can push and choose unselect all from. The FF5 game is in that package. It's also already patched no need to patch it or anything. I told you to do this from the begining.....

BTW that is Kameo's so don't thank me for it thank him. <.< >.>
