General Emulation?

Well, we have a General Gaming forum, maybe we could have a General Emulation forum? We could use it for subjects that pertain to more than one type of emulation (console, handheld, arcade, PC) or not to those at all, if that's possible. Just throwing this out there.

Um...I get what you're saying. But...it's just a little...I don't think we should have a General Emulation forum. I don't think there will be many threads regarding ALL kinds of emulation out there. If you could THINK of one, though, a couple of examples, maybe we COULD talk about making the parent forum "Gaming and Emulation" a place where users can post, instead of always in its child forums. Make sense? But, no, it's own SUBforum is too much.

We could talk about ROM hacking, or somethings I can't imagine right now. I would imagine that it would get as much business as General Gaming. Yes, it makes sense. But to make it even, we'd have to get rid of General Gaming.

I have to agree with Icono on this, besides the dicribtion under GEneral gaming say
"Discuss gaming topics that don't fit in the other forums."
emus and ROMs are about gaming, so any thread that is about ums in general could still go in General gaming. but who knows maybe some people well support you in this and admin might like it too

To be honest with you, I doubt he will. Originally, admin did not enable posting in forum sections. Ooh...might be a concern with moderation and all. Yeah, we'd have to have a moderator of the entire section. That seems a little...hm, I just don't think we should have a General Emulation forum/posting area. ROM hacking is usually for console ROMs, and the best place for that might be for Console Gaming/Emulation.

The Console Gaming/Emulation forum under the Gaming and Emulation Category.

Isn't this really the same thing?

What's the point of another one?
