Internet Connection Problem

I'v been having problems with my Internet connection.This is the prblem:When i try to download any rom or something, or go to a webpage sometimes,it makes me reconnect everynow and then even when downloading,so when the download percent like geys to around 50%,61%,4% ect.,it makes me reconnect everytime the download nevr gets done;and one last thing the pages i view on coolrom.com or any other site i have to reconnect everynow and then like 30 mins or and hour everytime,please help me it might do it again so post a quick reply please.

who provides your internet/what kind of internet do you have

I'm using Cybergate dialup internet,and Microsoft exc. on Windows Xp hpvs17.

Hmmm... Well this is just about the most difficult or next to impossible question to get a straight correct anwser on you could ever ask.But anyhow...

Your Dial-up connection is most likely Timing out or experiencing "hiccups"

This is more and more common among Windows XP with Dial-up service, It could be Many, many things:

-your Internet Service provider could be at fault(for many reasons)
-you could have a software conflict
-could be a firewall or security software problem
-so much more I dont even know where to start

These problem are very hard to pinpoint at times, and even more so with dial-up, as todays servers get more and more adavnced.

The first thing I would guess is your browser's cache memory is full, and need to be emptied. The problem with that is you cant flush the DNS cache memory in the middle of a download.

THe best thing you can do is Contact your Internet service provider, and complain (but try to be nice). And if being nice doesnt work, get mad. Last time I did it, my ISP not only fixed it, but they upgraded my connection speed for free.

Either way you look at it, you are going to have this problem downloading at some time as long as you are using dial up, from personal experience, trust me.

I called Cybergate a while ago and they fixed the problem for me so now i an get on now and netplay

Yeah I may play online sometime, but I never have with visual boy advance, I dont play that emulator that much, for some reason it just seems slower than my real GBA. But I do play on ZSNES now and then..
