I don't know if this will work, but it might be worth a try. Right click on the short cut of the game and select Properties. In the Propertie window click the Compatibility tab. Selct the box beside "Run this program in compatibilty mode for" then select an older version of Windows, probably Windows 95 would be your best bet. I've been able to use this for older games, and it has worked for me.

What game were you trying to get working in DosBOX what, if any errors did you get, and sometimes you have to mount a "CD-ROM" drive to actually install a game.

EDIT: I found a ist of Dos Emulators here. (http://tacgr.emuunlim.com/emulators/emulators.php)

The guy here says some nice things about Caprice but I've never tried it...just might though.

Do you happen to have an old banger computer lying around? You could also consider dual-booting you're computer with Windows 95 or DOS and Windows XP. That way you can just opt out to DOS whenever you want to play those games that are giving you trouble.

Oh, God. DOS compatibility issues. You would be needing to do some advanced DOS configuration, which you can't do in XP. Windows XP sucks. Even 98 was better. Unless, I have one idea. Try running it in DOS mode. And with Windows XP, there's only one way to do that. You must have a floppy disk drive. Format a new floppy disk after checking the "MS-DOS bootable disk" option. Restart your computer with the floppy disk in your floppy disk drive. Your PC should boot in DOS mode, but you can only access the floppy disk; the hard disk is hidden somehow.

Either that or install an earlier version of Windows. When multiple versions of Windows are installed, you can choose which one to start. If you chose 98 instead of XP, there would suddenly be many ways to boot in DOS mode.

keep in mind that DOS will not recognize a hard drive formatted as NTFS. The "DOS Console" from win9X will read a Fat 32 hard drive, but MS-DOS will only read fat16. If you truelly want to dual boot, you will have to FDISK your hard drive and set up a small DOS partition. Try using PartitionMagic to do this without re-formatting your PC. The easiest way is to make a small (250MB-500MB) partition and install Win98SE on it. That way, you can boot windows to load all your drivers(sound, cd-rom, etc) and choose "reboot in MSDOS mode" from the shutdown menu. I've tried using DOSbox and it didn't run to good. Win 98 will MOST LIKELY have some sort of compatible driver for most hardware (soundblaster emulation for audio card, and VESA vga for video card.) I doubt any hardware you have running under winXP will actually have a DOS driver written for it.

The Dosbox work for me with any dos games I try. Even the later games, like Crusader: No Remorse work for me at full speed.

There's a guide here:

I was thinking before emulators to use duel boot but little money, ntfs, and no windows xp setup disc hurt me, then I try emulation but this game didn't work. I found a computer with the spec for 5 dollars
700mhz processer
128 mb of ram
I need I a video card (I think a 8mb pci video card will be enough) and a sound card but but windows 98 is install and the main game i want will work in windows 98(it as a windows(95\98)verison which I had less success than the dos version)
