Why does it seem so out of place for them to JUST NOW be making a movie based on it?

Yea, they sure R running out of ideas for making movies, look at all the remakes they R doing. Or the old franchises brought back alive on the big screen, Transformers Generation One, anyone??

I'm awaiting the announcement of a GI Joe movie, or MASK or something :p ....
