I think it would help alot of people searching for certain types of games with the options of looking through the roms so putting things like *arcade and RPG style games also I would really love it and im pretty sure alot of other people would like it if there was a thing describing what language the game was in well yeh ta ta.............;)

Nah, I like them in alphabetical order, but we could put them in both.

I think he means in genres. Like sports, RPGs, platforms, and so on.

I don't like the idea because many users have misunderstandings about which games are under which genres. For example, I thought Banjo-Kazooie was an RPG, until Kameo kept saying it's a platformer. cherko thought Zelda was an RPG game (and so did I, actually), but I checked the Project64 RDB, and it said it was an Action-Adventure game. If this suggestion were applied, many users might find it difficult to find the ROM file they would like.

Also, for people with slow Internet connections, it may take a long time to get to the next page of downloading a ROM, and sorting ROM files by their genre, only adds an extra link to click on before downloading. It's quicker to view all of the ROMs under a certain beginning letter, without also classifying by genre.

What's more? If there are over 2,500 Nintendo 64 ROMs, imagine how many ROM links for all the consoles there would be to have rearranged into genre classification? It's too much hard work to go through.

I would say that we keep the alphabetical system and then put ridleys system in so that i wouldn't be hard to upload the site...

I too think it would be a wise decision to keep the alphabetical system , but more info would be nice.

I feel like there's already sufficient information given for the games on the right-hand side of a ROM download page. Maybe a short summary of the game would be useful, though.

It wouldn't be as much work as you're making it sound. I'd volunteer to compile it all if I knew it would be added.

I still think Zelda is an RPG. An Action/RPG. I don't care what Project64 RDB says, but if Zelda is not an RPG then this is not a forum.

I like the idea still, you can't put Zelda under the wrong category because it's ESA protected...
