Hi, im using a Mcafee Total Protection for small busness and the problem didnt start tell i added 1 gb of memory on to my computer, what happonds is that after a while having the computer on, it seems to freezes my pc for 5 min or longer (sometimes an hr). Now i found out it was mcafee when i did crl+alt+del and on Windows Task Manager i went to processes and showed that the mcafee program was using 99% or my processor, so i right clicked on that program and went to set priorty it showed to be set to High, when i tried setting it to lower it says Access Denide, So i donno what to do. Heres the full spec of my pc...

well, brother, you could have a whole mess of different issues.

First, You should re-check, to make sure that you added the correct type or RAM to your PC. and make sure you installed the RAM correctly.

Second are you trying to run XP Pro and 2003 Server on the Same PC?
-if you are, it's not a wise idea, 2003 server is a stand-alone OS, it doesnt like to share a PC with another OS. It will cause problems. Besides, unles you are hosting a large network, or a website from your PC, you should not even be using it.

Third, try to uninstall mcaffee in safe mode.then reboot, and see if you have any problems. If not, re-install mcaffee. If the problem persisted, its most likely you have the incorrect type of RAM, or mixed types installed that are incompatible with each other.

**NOTE-- and remember, there is no need to go and try to change system process priority. ESPECIALLY with an antivirus program. this is gonna lead to crashes and instability, if you do not know how the software will handle the change. ANd if you have verified it's safe to do so, you cant do it during startup.;)
