Well I found that running and jogging is a great way to relieve stress and clear the mind.
I was wondering if anybody else runs and how it works with them?
Has anybody here run a marathon?
What's the longest time, and race you ran?
What's your mile time?
How much do you run regularly?
How long have you been running for?
Now I understand if no one answers this, but you someone here does run, please do. It's a pretty interesting subject if I do say so myself.

I run a bike trail near my house daily, which is roughly 10 miles. I've been doing this for about 2 years now.

Edit: Oops, lol I meant to click on quote.
Lol, not exactally running, but biking is pretty good for you. I also bike every once in a while, but not so often anymore.

Oh seriously? That's good. I just checked and see you're 16. That's pretty good. Are you planning on going for a marathon when you get older? I am, but right now I just run 5 or 6 miles a day. And that's if I have time.

Actually, I've been doing this to build up my speed and endurance for football.

Oh really? But don't you enjoy running? Or do you want to become a professional football player?
P.S. Which football? American football, or european football?

American football. I do enjoy running, so I suppose a marathon wouldn't be completely out of the question, but I've been in love with football for a long time. I'm determined to make my way into the sport, though it's tricky for me. I'm homeschooled, so I can't really play high-school football, which is nearly neccessity. My goal is to try out for our local arena football team someday, then see where I can get from there.

Well if you ever get rich and famous, remember, I'm here for you! :D
Well actually though, I know someone who runs marathons, and I got a few tips from him. You probably already know this, but if you sprint for about 15 seconds slowly gaining speed,( Meaning that you don't start out running as fast as you can! )for 10-15 times in a row every day, you'll "recover" faster when you're tired.

If I'm ever rich and famous, I'll be sure to donate excessively to CoolROM, lol.
Yes, I've heard that and I've also tried it. It seems to work pretty well.

Do you know a way to increase sprinting well?

One thing that helped me alot were "suicide sprints".
In case you don't know what they are, I'll try to explain.
First, you pick a good starting point and mark it so you won't forget it. This should definitely be in a large flat stretch of either pavement or grass.
You then mark off a few distances. I personally do 20 yards, 40 yards, 60 yards, and 80 yards.
Now, get set at your starting point, then sprint full-force to the 20 yard marker, then cut back and sprint back to the starting point.
Repeat this process until you've done this for the 80 yard mark, then work your way down in the same method (60 yards and back, 40 and back, then 20).
These measurements aren't strict. They're just what I use when I do this particular drill. (There's a school football field a couple blocks away.)
You could try slowly increasing your speed to grow with the distance as well. I've never done that but I'd assume you'd get solid results.

Yes, we did those in soccer. It wasn't fun, but it did work. I just think that the coach pushed to freaking hard. At the end of it, my running turned to walking. :/

It's all about endurance, man. The more you work at it, the more you can take. Don't tack on as much distance until you're ready for it.

Yeah, I know. I don't really look at distance though, I pay attention to time. I run an hour a day, I'm not sure how much that is, but around 5 or 6 miles IMO. If I start running one mile, then two, then three, and so on, I can't do it. It just gets boring, but like this, I can see the improvement.

I see.
Have you tried timing yourself in the 40 yard dash?
The improvement you can see in how long it takes you to run that far is incredible.
It's one of the major things college and professional football scouts look at, anyways. Maybe that's why I do it.

I sometimes run with my dad...
I used to run track and cross country back in high school, but I haven't done that in a while. Awesome way to get in shape, though. I still run every day from my apartment to the beach (half a mile), and from the beach to the pier (about 2 miles), and then back to the beach. If I actually came there to surf, I'll just run to the beach, but if the tide sucks I usually go farther.

Well my previous record was 7:25, but today I got 6:49 when running the mile at school. Now I know Noodles probably gets it in the 5 minutes, but I just felt good when I beat my record by so much. I was first in my class to finish, too. Good day. :D

Thanks dude, I just ran the pacer today and got a 94. It wouldn't go any higher than that though. I have to start running some more though. I haven't run my usual 1 hour jog in a week or two now.
P.S. Where's noodles?
