Why are you using win2003 anyway?

win2003 is a Server operating system. So I assumed you are running a server. Because if you are using win2003 in a plain old non-network or non-server PC, you need to ditch it.

I would go with what DB said, but if that isnt an option because you dont have enough money to go get a OS or something, then the easiest way is to install the games and see if they work. Note : if the game was made since XP came out I doubt it would work because its prob set up for XP...

I'm not saying they wont work. they Might, seeing as win2003 and winXP are both NT/2000 parented OS's. BUt the odds are not in your favor, It's just not what win2003 is intended to do at all.

You'd have better luck with Linux using a windows emulator, and you're gonna need some skills to tackle that one ;)

yes im gonna use 2k3. if not, why am i asking then? just for the hell of it?

2k3 is a server OS? i always thought Windows Server 2003 was a workstation OS. guess i must remember that when the title says server, it aint lying.

explorer is always crashing on me and since 2k3 is said to be "stable", might as well use it

?? Is XP supposed to be unstable or something? *Has never had any problems with explorer on XP.*

No.
they are both stable. But they both have different puposeses.
WindowsServer2003 is for large networks of PCs and web page servers.

WindowsXPHome/Pro are for Home and businness PCs.

Example:
-Say you have an office with 16 employees, and they all have PCs at their Desk. 14 of them Use Windows XP Pro, and 2 use Apple OSX Tiger. You can get a Server PC and use Windows2003 on it, To network them all together.
All the Different OS's have theier own use.
